The UPS Store — Local services in West Bloomfield Township

I review only when I can write stellar comments about a business. I cannot understand how some people receive a package from Nordstrom and the box has a dent and they give the shoes in the box one star because the shipping box has a dent. WTH? You should be required to provide some documentation of education to be able to write a review. Clearly, the people who have written poor reviews about this UPS store have either miscommunicated their needs, or don't understand the law of the land, regarding mailing packages.

The only negative thing I can say about this store is that I hate Orchard Lake Road, and probably all of Oakland County agrees with me. About 3 times a week I shop at Plum Market and then head to this UPS store. Every person working here has an exemplary work ethic. Most importantly, they all know their "shipping stuff." I have 2 daughters who live in Chicago and since they allegedly don't have good baked goods in Chicago (are you kidding me?) I often mail them my incredible creations. I receive an email indicating "Your package is on its way" and one the next day (always, no problem getting to Chicago in 1 day) relaying that "Your package has been delivered." Nordstrom, Zappos, Amazon, Nespresso - the employees politely take the package and issue a receipt so I am able to track my return. I usually have an email when I get home that it has already been recorded on Zappos or Amazon, and my refund has been issued.

UPS is not the cheapest way to deliver, but I have mailed a simple Priority Mail envelope to Chicago and it has taken 3 days. I could ride my bike there faster than that. UPS has great options for overnight delivery for many locations and the staff knows when it is worth it to use that option. Lastly, my absolute FAVORITE employee, Tiffany, allows me to email her documents or articles, and she prints them off, binds them for me and emails me that they are finished. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I am not one to leave bad reviews but this is an ongoing issue with this location that needs to be addressed. The young man with the light hair, glasses, and blue eyes that’s always working here needs to be fired. Everytime I come in he gives me an issue regarding my packages. He’s very disrespectful and makes up his own rules due to his own laziness. He has denied taking my packages multiple times and gives the weirdest excuses as to why. I’ll go to another location and they willingly take it with no questions asked. This just goes to show that this is an employee/location issue and not a UPS issue. It’s crazy how I have read so many similar reviews and the location has yet to correct this issue/fire this indecent employee. I will no longer be supporting this location because obviously the management could care less about the customers satisfaction and only cares about the $$$. Terrible experience. My sister-in-law paid $120 to send us our daughter’s phone which tracks her blood sugars overnight, after we forgot it on the way to the airport. They claimed she actually paid for three day shipping (which is crazy to think that it would cost that much for something that’s 8 ounces). She had already been to USPS but they couldn’t guarantee next day so she came here. When I followed up with them, they told me she signed off on it getting there three days later. I explained that she had gone out of her way and above and beyond to try to get us this medical necessity. They said it was on us and they did nothing wrong. I explained that we are footing the bill and she just wanted to get it to us so their employees clearly miss something.
