OK Corral Western wear — Local services in West Chicago Township

I would normally not leave reviews, but since I have never had a worst experience, I thought why not. We traveled from Madison to spend the Sunday at the Little Village, we found this OK Corral VIP store and thought it would be a nice store to visit. Once we entered the store, it was empty, there were 3 or 4 ladies in the front, not sure if they even greeted us. Even though it is a large store, it felt overwhelming because everything was so tight. As soon as we started walking we could see this lady following us. That made us very uncomfortable. After about 10 min of this person following us, another lady, Spanish speaking, asked if we could leave the store since we have a plastic bag. I tried to tell her that we were about to leave. I tried to ask her why the 3 or 4 ladies up front didn't ask us to leave our bag up front where my mother in law and children were, but the only thing she could say was - no english. I understand why they would not permit bags inside the store. I truly do. The lady who asked us to leave, in fact was not rude or had an attitude, the poor thing was doing the job that somebody else failed on doing. BY THE WAY - the bag we had was left over churros from this super cute shop close by Corral - you have to visit. I honestly could not see what they had for sale since, as I mentioned, as soon as we walked in somebody was following us and making us uncomfortable. The staff is trash and the person behind them must be even worse to tolerate this behavior. This is not the first bad review about staff, scroll down and you see more. I don’t know where to start.first of all the store was nearly empty when my husband and I walked in. my husband was in his work clothes, dirty you know he’s coming straight from work. We were trying to get some clothes for him for a wedding for this weekend. None of the reps would pay attention at all. poor customer service, and when somebody did come in, and they were well dressed, it seems like all of their attention went to them. I worked in retail before for 15 years, and this is the worst customer service. The female employees were all stuck up. It’s seems like when you had a question, they dismissed you and rolled their eyes. It’s so sad seeing that your own race looks at the way you dress versus customer service. The place has beautiful things don’t get me wrong. We wanted him to try on clothes, but I guess that was too much to ask from them. the management needs to retrain all employees to treat everyone with the same respect, regardless of appearance. We took our money and business elsewhere. We went to Durango Western Wear. Now that’s great customer service. Came to Chicago from Ohio to visit family and decided to look for boots never, ever again coming here again very rude employee working there was very arrogant you could tell right away we were being judged based on how we looked, we asked her how much were some boots and looked at us and literally turned around and ignored us and didn’t say nothing and rolled her eyes and with a smirk on her face then came back and said here I have other boots and took us where the other “cheaper” boots were at, suggesting to get others. My husband went back to the same boots and asked again and she said they’re $549 we had the means to buy them trust me! my husband looked at me and said you know what I’m not going to get them just because of her attitude she had towards us and the way she treated us and I knew he wasn’t. I was going to say something but I wasn’t going to waste my time arguing with an ignorant, disrespectful, immature person. Walked out and took my business elsewhere. the ladies next door very respectful humble, know how to treat ppl and you know what they got my money!
