Tacos y Tamales El Pollo — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

First time tacos was great. Next 2 experiences were bad. 2nd time meat was hard and dry, I thought it was because they weren't cooking outside like my first experience. Saw them cooking outside today and gave them another chance. I told the young man that spoke English very well 3 times what I wanted and got home and order was incorrect and meat was fatty. Went for lunch, we had some tostadas and tamales. Have to say I'm VERY surprised this has such good ratings. The food wasn't very good. There was live music that was very loud; it was just our table eating. We could barely talk among ourselves. The prices were very cheap though, we were surprised our bill was so low. I'm hoping we came on an off day, but realistically I don't see myself...

I stopped in here today to get a quick bite before my overnight shift. I got 3 carne asada tacos con cilantro y cebolla to go and they were done in lese than 10 mins. They were so juicy and flavorful without the salsa verde. So good! And the lady who took my order was very nice too 😊 definitely will be coming back.
