Los Tamales de la Tia — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

This was my first time trying the spot. We ordered green and red tamales. I tried the green one first and it was delicious although a little mushy in the middle but good overall.

The red ones, sadly, tasted like the meat had gone bad. I opened a few and they all had the same rotten smell. There was also little white pieces of something on the outer part of one side of the tamal and we weren't sure if it was masa or who knows.

So, I can only recommend the green chicken...

My family and absolutely love the tamales they have here, I'm usually very very picky with my tamales so I usually have specific favorites and this is one of both on the fact that they are affordable and delicious, i usually order 2 dozens of tamales because my family and I absolutely love them, and they always come out fresh and hot, I will definitely continue to order...

Food is made fresh, expect to wait the proper amount of time for wonderfully fresh made food. The tamales are awesome, soft and perfectly portioned. Tacos are fabulous! The tortillas are made by hand. The enchiladas w green sauce were delicious and saucy. We were even able to score fresh vanilla churros for a little man who came in to offer them for sale.
