Zavalas grocery — Local services in West Chicago Township

New: only came here for their imported bread. they discontinued it (for good, it seems, this time), and the lady was not attentive nor friendly - a phone zombie - while i waited in front of her at the counter, to see how long it would take her to notice and attend me. I had to speak up after almost a minute at the counter, and she did not like the bother, according to her body language and tone. Left a bad impression enough to not want to return here, and look elsewhere.

This place is the hidden gem I wish I had discovered sooner. The food is delicious, especially their tamales! You get good amount of meat, sauce and maza in every bite.
