Right at Home — Local services in West Columbia

When you have a service providing 24/7 care for a 100 year old parent residing in their own home, there are obviously many opportunities for slip ups now and then, but I can honestly say that I couldn't be more pleased with the caregivers Right at Home has provided for us. They have worked hard to match just the right caregivers with my mother's personality and needs. These ladies are working as a team to keep Mom's pantry organized and provide me with updated grocery and shopping lists. They make sure her clothes are clean and her closet organized so she has a coordinated outfit ready to put on each morning. They fuss over her hair and help her with her makeup. They keep track of all her appointments. They provide 3 meals a day and keep the kitchen immaculate. Thanks to out of ear phone conversations and text updates with me they also manage to make my mother feel that she is still in charge. I can't express how grateful I am for these wonderful, caring ladies who have watched over my mother for the past 8 months. My experience with right at home especially as a disabled combat veteran has been nothing short of phenomenal. The ladies in the office, Jasmine, Tracy, Jesse, jessica, Ada have all been very accommodating. My caregivers are some of the most precious people I have ever known they are very thorough and conscientious they always looking for how they can make me more comfortable I am on at home dialysis and run the machine 5 days a week and they just always looking to make me comfortable. Right at home has proven itself to be at the top of the list and on the top shelf. Right at home has been very flexible and makes changes to the schedule when I need a change made. I only need to pick up the phone and call and the ladies will make the change. Mr Mike and Dale are fabulous to work with very cordial on the phone always looking to help me with any issues that I might have. About 5 years ago I relocated to Columbia, SC. Having worked in health care/ in home care before I decided to search for employment in that field. After three interviews at three different companies I chose Right at Home. On the day of my orientation I arrived early and the employees/ owners were getting their day started with prayer. That really impressed me since I am a christian. Besides that as time went on I saw that they were 100% family oriented with clients and employees. I knew then that I didn’t want to work any where else. Thanks RAH for a positive golden years career!!!
