I ordered a salad on tonight using the touch screen menu. Initially, I thought, “This is so cool!”’ I needed something healthy and quick before heading to work. The process was streamlined. I pulled up to the window and was asked if I would like my dressing on the side or on the salad. I let the cashier know I wanted the dressing on the side because it would be some time before I would be able to eat it. Unfortunately, I did not check before leaving because I was in a hurry. When I pulled the salad out of my lunch bag it was saturated with dressing, there was little lettuce and the tomatoes were not fresh! I hate that soooooooo much! I wanted a salad not a bowl of meat and dressing! I decided to call. I asked to speak with the manager. I could not understand if the young man on the phone had said he was the manager or that there was no manager; however, I proceeded to let him know that I was very dissatisfied with my order. Then, instead of apologizing or offering a new salad the young man got defensive about the salad he made stating, “Oh, I filled the lettuce up and when you select the dressing on the menu it goes on the salad but I put very little on it.” Since “little” is not messable and I hate soggy salads that was clearly his opinion! I like my salads with mostly vegetables and I dip my fork in the dressing (I do not like dressing poured all over my salad). I did get upset and tell him I didn’t get a receipt but I found it. Get this...I told him I was at work and he offered to give me a new receipt but not a new salad. Get out of here with that!!!!! Needless to say I will not be visiting this...
Read moreI give this restaurant a 5-star. I have been by-passing others to come here for years because of the great customer service, consistent sanitary and food handling practices. They know how to greet customers, when to change gloves, etc. I appreciate it and I know it is not easy to be consistent. It comes with good training, enforcement, and staff with good attitudes. When you are conscientious of serving others how you want to be served and treating your staff respectfully and equally, you will be surprised at how your business and staff members will thrive and want to come to work. I was told after another phone call that the app may not apply to that store. So I paid full price and after research found that the Gilbert Subway was included in that app. They were closed for a few days for repairs so I called and asked to speak to a Manager.
