DON'T LET THE CASHIER DENY U YOUR 15% COUPON on Regular & or Sale Items!! Nothing is worse when e'ees are ill-trained + excessively priced items require you to use discounts w/ coupons in order to achieve a more reasonable but what becomes a regular price item. This tactic adds to Michaels' profits.
Twice I've been told by a cashier that since the 15% coupon on regular & sale items 'didn't take' on their hand scanner, it wouldn't work cuz ' I was purchasing regular & or sales items. Huh!! Teach your e'ees to read the weekly coupons & their conditions. Your cheating of customers only gives profit to Michaels.
I proved them wrong by cancelling my purchase w/ the cashier (the last 1 had an eee in training (sick). The trainer cashier denied my coupon cuz it wouldn't take on the hand scanner... so the assumption was made it could not be used. I instead completed the transaction on the self service scanner. The 15% coupon took just as it should. The trainer did not appreciate that I proved her wrong. $5.00 Credit Rewards Coupons: Be patient. These rewards are made hard to find & you have to jump hoops to find it/them. Michael's e'ees have admitted that the site isn't exactly user friendly.
BEST BET: Play Michaels game; wait for Fri/Sat higher % discounts (especially in the non-holiday season).

Read moreYesterday I went in to pick up a package (which I received the notification that it was at the store) and was very rudely and disrespectfully talked to by the store manager. She made it clear that she was the store manager by giving an attitude and letting me know that it was "her store" and that she knew everything that came in and out. I went in because I received notification that my package was there, if I didn't I wouldn't have wasted my time considering I just had back surgery. instead of being respectful and advising me to check back in the morning, she was condescending and has a disgusting and entitled attitude. I returned this morning and was being helped by another employee when she decided to rudely yell from across the store "oh wow i was right and he came back to get his package that is actually here today like i said". She yelled in front of other customers and all of the employees in the store. When I say yelled it was from one side of the store to the other so that everyone could hear her. She should not be in management let alone running the store. If she is the standard for a store manager then Michael's should close their stores. Other reviews confirm that she has acted this way even over a simple question like asking where the bathroom is. Read moreWe order online 4 items online, paid via Paypal. Today we went to pick up, luckily my husband opened the bag and saw only 3 items. We asked the lady there, she said oh we did not have the item you needed so we charged only 3 items. We then walk around to have a look and we found a lot of items ( letters decal) that she said they did not have. We brought it to her and pay for it We feel not pleased for the service and the way they operate store here If you do not have enough items, you should inform customer when they pick it up so they can be aware of what they have and not. It was lucky my husband opened to check,if we go home without checking with trust in your service then we would find out 1 item missing and that is the item we need. What will we do? Drive back or drive to another store to find it and make phone call to ensure you did not charge us for that items? In this case you take customer's time to pay for your negligence Why your staff could not find the item we order even it was there, customer like us found it? Your inventory control is weak.
