I needed to get a haircut because the person who has cut my hair for 30 years+ was off work due to an injury. I wanted something close to my home and relatively small. I did not want someplace where there were 10-15 chairs and kids, adults and alot of noise and distraction. I am used to a one-on-one haircut in a private room with a calm atmosphere and light music.
I honestly Googled close to my home and found this place. I went to their nice web site and found they were five minutes from my home and seemed to have a nice looking interior space. I booked an appointment with Natalie. Due to my health, I am still wearing a face mask indoors. I was told that if I wished the stylist would wear one as well. When I arrived, I found the waiting area to be comfortable and the atmosphere very modern looking.
When it was my time, Natalie came and introduced herself and we went to her "station." It was all "in the open" and the stylists were fairly close to one another, but it was fine. I told her to do the best she could so my hair looked about like it did then but shorter. She did a fine job, especially for the first time. She was very pleasant and personable. It was affordable and well worth the price. If I had one complaint (personal to me possibly), it would be that their choice of music and music volume was not terribly relaxing unless you are perhaps in your 20's-30's. Aside from that, all was quite nice. I will be going back soon for another haircut...
Read moreTwo stars because I've been there five times and I only thought the person did a good job twice.
I've had an appointment for highlights three times and it's been cancelled twice. They've went to no extra effort to get me in with a different person at the same time. At that point, I've missed work to pay them money and not ended up with their service.
Not impressed yet.
Will never ever go back. Update... finally got in for highlights. Wish I hadn't. The hair is so damaged wet it has the consistency of cotton candy. Before it was really healthy strong and soft just yellow and brassy. I've had balayage and highlights before and not had this issue at all. Oh, also my hair that should be beige blonde hair is also now blueish and my scalp is itchy and burnt - never had that issue before.
I'm horrified at the amount of time and money it will take for my hair to be healthy again and my head not to hurt. It was long thick and luxurious and now it's so sad looking - I want to cut it off. It looks like the highlights destroyed the ends of my hair making my hair cut jagged and uneven.
My hair is now thin (probably half the overall thickness it was), whispy and brittle. Wish I hadn't went. I want my thick soft brassy hair back.
Update Just got called about canceling an appointment I didn't know existed. They cited this review as their reason for canceling. Shame they couldn't reach out to me about...
Read moreMy sister and I have been going to this hair salon for decades. It's had a few different names, some different owners (years ago it had 1 owner now several) but always had good beauticians. I guess it's a bit pricey for some but they use & sell top quality products. We started taking our mother (90 y/o) and my niece (who has special needs) there as well. They have the skills to work with everyone. I go to Timberly (part owner) for all my services & I've never been disappointed. My other family members have Judy (original employee from way back when and used to be one of the owners) cut their hair. My sister has Timberly color and Judy cut. Their receptionists are very courteous and helpful, and are always in good moods. I'd recommend making your appointment ahead of time, but you might be able to find someone there who could squeeze you in, if you don't have a regular hairstylist. Overall, if you're looking for a new place to go, and you don't mind paying for quality services, look no further. I don't see how you could be...
