If you're looking for a firm that's available when you have questions, consistently updates you on their progress and their thinking, gives you a detailed schedule and keeps to it, and tells you why if there's any kind of delay or problem, then Cocoon is the design-build firm for you. My wife and I wanted to figure out how to better use the space in our kitchen and dining area, and we only had vague notions about knocking walls down, etc. So, we called Cocoon on a friend's recommendation. They came and looked at our house, measured every square foot, figured out where everything was, and came back to us with four fantastic options that we would never have thought of for the layout. Just when we thought we couldn't be more satisfied, we got to the interior design stage, and we discovered just how much better our kitchen could look and feel. As usual, they brought our ideas and thoughts into three amazing-looking suggestions and rendered them in such a way that we could immediately see which one we wanted. Whenever we didn't like a particular sample, they changed and found something we loved. In the build process, I felt like I always knew what they were doing and that any question I had was welcome. Whenever there was an issue, they let us know, heard our thoughts, and gave their recommendations. We always felt like we knew what was going on, even when we weren't there. Even now that the kitchen's done, they're willing to come out and fix anything that might have changed or settled during the ensuing year, and we're looking forward to the one-year check-in where they examine how the kitchen has fared. Look no further - this team is the gold standard when it comes to any home project. My wife, son and I just completed a first floor/kitchen remodel. From stage 1 all the way through completion of the project, Nate and Amy delivered on EVERYTHING they promised. We had several meetings in design and the team fully understood what we were looking for and presented as such. While certainly no large scale project is a breeze, Cocoon made it feel like that! The entire area was completely sealed up so we really could go on living our life and not swiffer up dust every evening. Chris was incredible lining up the various teams around our schedule with the least amount of disturbance possible all while completing the job ahead of schedule!! he always checked in with us and made sure we knew who was in our house every day (multiple times a day in fact 😎). we were on vacation for 2 weeks and felt incredibly comfortable doing so knowing chris had our back. The level of professionalism and cleanliness of each person was incredible. When we ran into any unforeseen issues, they were quickly addressed and taken care of. There were only a few of these which really speaks to length at which Cocoon goes BEFORE the job i.e. this team really does their home work before a hammer is swung. all of their trade partners are fantastic and quality people. After purchasing a home we planned to renovate before moving in, Cocoon quickly stood out as the partner we wanted to work with. From the beginning their team was terrific- Nate, our initial partner, was very communicative, accommodating, and supportive of our vision, timeline and budget. We reimagined the layout of our entire first floor, and Lisa’s ideas for how to rework the space to fit our needs were incredible. We were so impressed with the options she created, and were able to quickly land on a floorplan and design with Evangeline that perfectly suited our family and our taste. The team also goes above and beyond to make these sessions fun, which they should be! With extremely detailed plans in place before construction began, the project itself was smooth and fast. Our project manager Nate was wonderful, keeping everything running smoothly, answering every question along the way and going above and beyond across the board. When you are renovating an older house, you expect wild cards to come up, but at every turn he had a solution that made sure things were done right while still respecting our budget.
