Nifty lunch in a pouch. Open, pour into a bowl, cover, and cook for a couple of minutes. Not as good the mandir, but good taste and a long shelf life, or so I thought. BEWARE: the expiration date on my purchase showed Aug 2025, but upon lifting the corner of it, it shows that it REALLY expired 6 months ago in February 2024!!! I'm glad I kept my receipt. This should not be occuring and is unacceptable. Imagine if Publix did this.... six months!
Truth be told, I bought several flavors of this same type of pouch several months ago and found 50% had passed their expiration date. I returned to this store and asked for a refund to which a gentleman offered me $1.00 off each pkg. to keep the expired food. I declined. He insisted that they are perfectly fine past their expiration date. I couldn't wrap my head around that especially when some of the pouches were "swollen". So, now, I thought I'd give it another try. Fool me once, shame in you. Fool...
Read moreOur family went here while in a day trip from Winter Haven. My wife is Persian and we usually frequent spice stores when time permits. We visited Taste of India to find the staff friendly and inviting. There are various sources, snacks, and staples for an Indian pantry, including delectables and collectibles. We ended up buying spices, noodles, and desserts for the family (my wife got her black currant Ribena).
Although the selection was good, the store was a bit smaller than some of the other stores we have visited, especially compared to the stores in Orlando. It was worth stopping in, the prices were decent. They have a refrigerated section, which was nice, but we expected a larger selection of produce available. There are a few other Indian markets near by that we didn't visit, so I can't compare, however it was adequate for a brief visit just to...

These guys sell expired products and also don’t take proper care ( don’t maintain the exact temperature) for the frozen products. I have myself exchanged many products ( such as frooty and other groceries), because they were expired. when I told them about this, they took it very light, didn’t apologize for the convenience but instead told me that it’s very common in stores like this. Few days ago, I purchased paneer from them and when I opened the pack, it’s smelling very bad and is spoilt. So I called the store and asked them about this, they are not ready to take this back and instead told us about their store policy about frozen items and didn’t refund us. It’s not about money( 5 or 6 dollars doesn’t make difference) but their maintenance will cost someone’s health and will effect people who are consuming...
