Iron City RC Hobbies is one of the best places to have fun in the Pittsburgh area. This is due to the friendly and knowledgeable staff, a constantly changing and accommodating facility, and the positivity it fosters in the rc community.
When I began this hobby, I knew little to nothing. When I began going to ICRC with my Dad, the staff and owners were happy to help us find everything we needed and answer any questions we had. Once I was set up to begin off road racing, they helped me learn and adjust my car.
The facility is great as well. They offer outdoor 1/10th crawling, micro/mini crawling, drifting, on road racing, mini z racing, and off road racing (check on social media to see what tracks are up.) You can go just for practice or to participate in their frequent events and competitions. Even with all those things to do, there's still plenty of tables, an expansive hobby shop, and concessions available.
Finally, my personal favorite part of ICRC is the community it creates. Many of us who have gone agree- you cant just go once. I love seeing people come back week after week to race and have fun. I have met many awesome drivers who have pushed me to get better through ICRC. Even on competition days, everyone is laughing and giving each other pointers.

Read moreWent here last night. BEAUTIFUL PLACE! Super clean, perfectly organized, well laid out. Some of the people were friendly. Some not so much. I wish it werent an hour away. I was truly. Amazed at the organization and clenliness, the selection of products, the kindness of the lady owner. The mini z track is huge and wider than expected. No shoes allowed on the track which I respected ALOT. They really take great care and obviously have put alot of work into creating a true rc complex. Probably the nicest rc facility I have ever had the honor of visiting. The mini offroad racing in the back was amazing to watch. The crawler tracks are beyond impressive. I will definately be visiting when i can and spending some cash there to help support them and everything they are doing for our beloved hobby. Maam, I did not catch your name but thank you so much for your hospitality and for running such a wonderful...
Read moreVery cool shop, I’m not largely into the RC world but I enjoy RC cars. Went by here today, the staff was friendly and didn’t follow you around and nag you while you browse. Got to test out my new crawler on their little off road stage and could have stayed all day. Great selection, very cool place overall. I’ll definitely be back for another RC car. Support local businesses and buy your cars and parts from them!
Edit: Also, as a small business owner myself, I’d like to say thumbs down to the gentleman who left a one star review to complain about their...
