SO.....while I liked shopping at the store I just experienced a very embarrassing ( & possibly Racially motivated)incident. I had applied for & had been hired for a job in the Deli. (my friend told me I had been hired & had not walked to my car yet after the interview. I assumed that he had talked to her.) I was told to return today to talk to a gentleman named Chris. Having spoke with Chris he informed me to fill out my Paperwork & return it to him (which I did). I then walked back to the Deli ( the place I supposed to ALREADY been hired.) & speak with either Justin or Lori....so I spoke with (who I am ASSUMING is Justin cause the other employee called him by that name) Justin & he walked out spoke to me for all of 15-20 seconds long to tell me he had to speak with the other manager... not a few minutes after that the SAME woman who had hired me the day before comes right out into the middle of the deli & dismissively says that they hired someone else...not even been 24hrs???? My belief is that when Justin saw me he was unhappy with me for which I can ONLY assume is a racial reasoning cause I had only been in the supermarket as a customer & never had spoken with him before...I won't be returning & would encourage others who align with this reasoning to do the same...it is a shame...their food is...
Read moreI have been a customer of hadadds market since a small child shopping hand in hand with my grandmother. Love the store! Was in today with my 3 small children, 1 of them is autistic. He gets so excited when we go grocery shopping and was having a bit of a melt down. The meat clerk, his name is Brett, took it amongst himself to come from around the meat counter and tell me if I didnt calm my child down we would have to leave the store. I was so embarrassed and felt so degraded. I will NEVER spend another penny in this store. They let this man follow me around the market and continue to harass me and my children and did nothing about it. Brett also told me that my child cant disturb their customers as if I wasnt a customer myself. Never once had an issue at Walmart, Kroger, or Hyvee and the way I was treated today I will not return and I advise anyone with children that have melt downs or any type of developmental issues to patronize another market where u will be treated with dignity and respect. So...
Read moreI'm so glad to have Haddad's down the street from us. Very convenient! Good local grocery store. They usually have everything we need. But buying fresh vegetables can be a hit or miss. That's usually what they're out of near dinner time, which is totally understandable because so many customers are they buying for their dinners as well. But for the items I need in a pinch, like more pizza sauce or flour tortillas, they've got them! The employees are helpful and nice. The cashiers usually offer my kids suckers (90% of the time they ask me before they ask my kids, which is a huge win in my book!). Sometimes I send my oldest inside the store to grab a quick snack and everything goes well. Price point- generally a little higher than Aldi, but on point with Kroger and the like. I'm more than willing to pay just a few cents more to keep Haddad's up and running. It's a...
