First of all we found the vehicle on car gurus an d was listed in LaCrosse not West Salem which makes a difference as we were driving three hours to get there. We talked with Scott on the phone to confirm they had the vehicle, during that conversation he stated they were a Jeep dealer. Throughout the conversation we gave a time we would arrive and asked several times where it was, and were told a Jeep dealer. When we arrived we went to the Jeep dealer in West Salem to find there is not a Scott that works there. Called three times to learn they are at the Kia dealer across the road.... Not happy at this point, Scott said we were an half hour later than we said the amount of time looking for the Jeep dealer and learning were he was really at.... He had to do nothing to make the sale but sit there as everything was done by the business manager Steve. Steve went on to tell my wife his sexual resume' and about his ex-wife were customers not your shrink..... Inappropriate at minimum.... Two weeks later we have a check engine light ok give them a call we have a 30 day dealer warranty. I called them talked to Scott the stupidity continues well take it in get it fixed, cool this is on you right? No it should be covered by vehicle warranty, nope but we are within thirty days on your warranty... Nope you bought a extended warranty yes we did but you have not activated it yet.... Guess you will have to be without your vehicle until we figure this out on our end... No I have a 30 day warranty yeah that is no good, you will have to submit a claim after you pay for it... Really. Can I speak with the service manager sorry gone for the week. I called the owner Nick Brennigan and reminded him of their motto "customer for life".... When Nick first wanted to play duck and cover they nearly got the vehicle back. After some "convincing conversation" I hung up not knowing who was going to pay for the repairs. A short time later I received a call from Nick stating it was taken care of well not exactly it was put on our warranty, which is capped and went against our cap... NEVER WILL I DO BUSINESS WITH...
Read moreA top notch experience all around, not your traditional dealership - Finally, a car shopping experience that was uniquely enjoyable, respectful, fun, and comfortable.
The moment you engage with the folks at Brenengen Kia in West Salem you feel like family. There is no cheesy, high pressure; traditional sales mentality here, the entire sales staff is focused on one thing, making sure you are taken care of. The staff is committed to helping you find what is right for you, not what they need to move off the lot that week. It feels more like a partnership than a sales/customer relationship. Theyâre on your side and go to whatever length it takes to make sure you will go home thrilled about your decision, even if it doesnât involve making a sale.
As far a pricing and transacting they canât be beat. I did extensive homework on the pricing of the vehicle I ended up purchasing, their price was more competitive than any dealership I searched, forget traveling to MPLS or Chicago to get better pricing, Brenengen had everyone beat by a significant amount and I didnât have to drive 200+ miles to take advantage of it. They were also the most competitive on my trade value and didnât hassle me to death about warranties and financing.
Bottom line, they donât play games at BrenengenâŚthey have one price, their best price, and in my case the best price of anywhere I could find.
Ryan Grooms and Dave Prendergast assisted in our purchase/sale, great thanks to them for their exceptional help and professionalism. I will recommend these individuals and give a personal recommendation to anyone who...
Read moreLast year, we took our vehicle to this Morrieâs location because our A/C was only working intermittently (usually not working on idle) which we shared with them when scheduling the appointment. We received a video from the tech where he stated âA/C is blowing fine right now⌠donât know what the complaint was about.â We were not called or asked anything further about the A/C and received a $200 bill. My husband found that there was an active service bulletin out that states for our make/model/year, if a customer complaints of the A/C not working during idle to replace a specific part. After leaving a poor review, my husband was asked to contact this Morrieâs location to resolve the issue. When he called and said that our vehicle had already been looked at for a basic A/C inspection and referenced the service bulletin, he was told weâd have to complete and pay for another basic A/C inspection before theyâd look at any other components of the A/C which would be another $200 because they did not have adequate notes from the service tech. For basic maintenance, this location may do their due diligence, but when it comes to diagnostics, there is not only lack of communication between staff but lack of communication from staff to customers. Theyâve proven they will not resolve your issue, and I couldnât recommend them less for...
