I went in to get a tres leches cake for my father's birthday (because tres leches is his favorite) it was a round cake and the baker suddenly puts it in a very large rectangular box, that was three times! Bigger than the actual cake and had no cover. We asked "do you have any smaller boxes" and she said no, we moved on to the front and we asked to speak with the supervisor (who was busy goofing off with another employee) and we asked him "hey this box is way too big, it's very hazardous because we have to keep the cake in the middle steady" There is no way to keep it in your lap because the box was so big. And do you know what this "supervisor" said?
"Well if you don't want the cake, don't buy the cake." He said in a snarky, "talk back to his mother" type of way.
No. In a place of business you don't tell the customers "if you don't want it, don't buy it." We wanted the cake. The problem wasn't the cake, it was the box. You want money to keep the business afloat. The correct response he should have given us is.
"I'm sorry for the trouble, we don't have any small boxes at the moment but next time, I'll make sure we'll have enough in stock. I'll be sure to mention this to the owner" In a responsible matter, not like a fifteen year old refusing to do the dishes. And this was a supervisor! He told us this three times. "If you don't want it, don't buy it"
We went very offended by his attitude and when we asked to talk to the owner, he had the audacity to give us a fake number that only went back to the market, not straight to the owner.
In the end, we took our oversized box (fit to house a large quicenera cake-that would feed over fifty guests) while balancing our round birthday cake into the truck of our car, praying as we prepare for the long drive home that it won't move or flip over in any way that might damage it. But, after this experience with the irresponsible and obviously childish supervisor (who should be demoted and put back into stocking the pantries) is that we won't be coming back to this place...
Read moreI want to put 0 starts but that it's not possible. I went to buy some Mexican bread and when I was ready to pay the cashier told me that she only accepted payments with card when the amount is over 6 bucks, I didn't see any singns about payment under $6 are only with cash; the amount I need to pay was $5.16, so I couldn't buy anything because I didn't have cash with me. Really annoying.
Additionaly the lady on the bread area was kind of rude when I asked for certain pieces of bread and because I didn't know the name...
Cajera y manager...
