The Gundam Galaxy — Local services in Westfield

The Gundam Galaxy is located right down the road from Holyoke Mall, in a little strip mall with other hobby stores closeby.

The store is very minimalistic, with large shelves that are well stocked with many different gundam model kits, as well as model kits from other series such as Pokemon, G.I. Joe, Kamen Rider, and assorted model kits for things like animals. There are a few tables in the store that can be used to build model kits, and they even sell paint for customizing the kits.

The staff are pretty friendly and knowledgeable about the hobby and series, you can tell they are big fans and passionate about the hobby.

The prices are alright. Most of the model kits are reasonably priced, however I did find one that was a little upcharged, however this didn't bother me because it was a newer release.

This is what a 5-star business looks like. If you normally buy stuff online, don’t bother. Better stock than many websites and just as good if not better prices, which I have no clue how they manage to pull off.

Staff is friendly, and the environment is very low pressure if you’re indecisive like me and take a while to browse.

On top of all the kits, they even have a good selection of Vallejo and tamiya paints and even Mr. Color paints (which are very hard to find even online in popular colors without paying 2-3x the price). As well as thinners, plastic cement, top coats, panel liners, water slide decals, etc.

My wife and I are from Ohio and stopped in to visit on our way to Salem. I have never been in a shop that has as much stock and selection as The Gundam Galaxy. I was absolutely blown away by how much selection there is.

I highly recommend stopping in if you live in the area or if you happen to be traveling anywhere nearby if you enjoy Gunpla. You are absolutely missing out if you don't drop in and check out this store!
