Dave's Appliance Warehouse — Local services in Westminster

UPDATED REVIEW: So grateful that Dave's Appliance Warehouse did not let me down and lived up to it's expectation of excellent customer service. The manager himself, Corey, came to my house immediately to resolve my Samsung refrigerator problems as well as a follow-up call from the owner himself - Dave!

I always try to support local business owners rather than franchises. Westminster, California isn't exactly close to my home but I did make an effort to visit the large store and subsequently became a happy customer. After all, America started to form from local businesses, not franchises.

PREVIOUS REVIEW: Ordered a large refrigerator, washer & dryer and a stove from the store. They do have a limited selection and the sale rep definitely needs additional training in merchandise knowledge. Store had no air conditioning and it felt as though I was shopping at a third world country! Nevertheless, the invoice was not typed by hand-written.

Unfortunately, Dave's Appliance Warehouse ONLY delivers once a week on Thursdays with no choice of timeframe despite customers paying for the delivery fee (not good). In addition, the refrigerator's freezer is not working and there are additional exterior damage that WAS NOT at the store. I contacted the store and gave them my name twice and had to reiterate my order since they don't seem to be computerized. With only a handful of employees, one would believe things would be better organized. I will update the review once I've received...

We just moved here from Iowa, 2 weeks before we moved we found out our new condo would not have a fridge. We tried the big box stores, super expensive and would take 3-6 weeks for delivery. Then Dave's Appliance popped up on Google. Alex answered the phone and was so helpful! First of all, we didn't want to spend a ton of money, we were already spending a lot on moving. Alex helped find the best fridge in stock at the lowest price, just a few dings so we got a great price! Then he arranged so that it would be delivered the day after we arrived. What a relief to not have to live without a fridge after traveling 3 days and living on fast food and gas stations! A week later we discovered that the washer and dryer that were included in our condo were actually about a century old and the landlord had put specific language in our lease that she would not be repairing or replacing them. So I called up Alex again, and of course within a few minutes he had found some great options for us. We got a great deal on a pair of Maytags. And next day delivery! I am just all around pleased with this company and...

Our washer broke down and apparently there’s trouble getting stock on new washers as a result of the pandemic. Not enough dock workers. In any case... stumbled upon this place and they have tons of stock. The salesman was so amazingly nice. Greeted us when we came in and explained to us how the store prices work. And then... left us to explore and checked in on us periodically. No pressure and no hovering. Found a washer that works perfectly and for a heck of a deal. We were anxious to get it home so we just loaded it in our 4Runner. Apparently the CEO was one of the kind gentleman that helped load it for us. A company where the executives lead by example and are in the trenches with the employees. I love it. We’ll be coming back to get a fridge here. Can’t...
