Purchased a cen-tech 4 in 1 jump. Box came damaged (not a big deal), inside the bubble wrap was torn as if someone previously opened it or they reused old bubble wrap, missing items that appears to be used. Contacted customer service I given the option to return with shipping label or get a refund. Chose a refund thinking I can just buy a new one considering I received a used item which I forgot to mention doesn’t even charge. I travel 3 hours to and from work I don’t have time to shop in person or take it somewhere to ship. I wake up at 3-4am daily and come home 7pm-8pm with a one year old child. Online shopping is convenient in my household but now they want me to figure out where to print this label, where to drop off to ship because their workers sent me a used item. I am taking this as a loss. But next time customer service shouldn’t say “or” and rephrase it to “we will send you a shipping label via email, you will have to print, and drop off your package with courier, then once item is returned we will give you partial refund for a used item we sent you that you purchased as new.” Posted picture of this obviously used item if it was new the scratches wouldn’t be...
Read moreRecently bought a small air compressor to keep in my truck, for topping off my tires, bike tires, & rugby balls. The air line on my previous one had broken, so I just bought a new one instead of trying to fix it. The Harbor Freight pump was not a great quality item & leaked air from the fitting, so I returned it. However, one of the employees named Michael was extremely helpful. After some discussion, he determined that the broken air line on my "Masterflow" pump from Pep Boys could be easily fixed, & in fact fixed it in about 15 seconds. Michael started by noticing me browsing the aisles, asked if he could help, then proceeded to troubleshoot & solve my problem. He clearly had a wide range of knowledge regarding store products & was very professional, so I hope management sees this post. I know that some of the items Harbor Freight carries may not be top-of-the-line, but this is the first time I was unhappy with a purchase there. The manager immediately called the Corporate office to see rather if they were supposed to send out a tech or I received full replacement, although I was unaware of the tech personelle option, my whole reason for lugging this 236lb beast home from a ranch up north was for the replacement & no question return. After she got her pep talk on how the other option was no longer available I breathed a sigh of relief when they handed me a fresh one In the box. I'm writing this not to put the manager down but to show you that a little patience and guidance even from a manager, can always be worked out if you do not feel pleased with the answer. She could have very well sent me on my way without getting power for my home , now it's a win win situation and both parties are informed for better handling next time.
