Del Taco, an epicurean sanctuary where the marriage of culinary ingenuity and sensory delight takes place, beckons discerning palates into a realm where the ordinary transforms into the extraordinary. As one steps through the gastronomic threshold of Del Taco, it is akin to traversing the portal into a gastronomic Shangri-La, where flavor profiles unfold with the precision of a well-composed symphony.
The tortilla, a seemingly mundane canvas, emerges as the cornerstone of Del Taco's culinary oeuvre. It is not merely a vessel but a metaphorical blank slate awaiting the painter's brush. This tortilla serves as a medium for the culinary artists, a blank canvas upon which the vivid strokes of seasoned meats, crisp produce, and tantalizing sauces intertwine, creating a culinary masterpiece that transcends the realm of fast food.
The seasoned beef, a maestro in the orchestrated ensemble of tastes, weaves a complex tapestry of flavors that resonate with the sophistication akin to a symphony. Its nuanced notes of cumin, chili, and garlic perform a culinary sonata, each bite a crescendo that unfolds on the palate. The grilled chicken, with its smoky timbre, plays a harmonious tune, adding layers to the gastronomic composition that are rich and resonant.
Del Taco's commitment to the sensory arts extends to the verdant embrace of fresh produce. Crisp lettuce and succulent tomatoes, reminiscent of a meticulously tended garden, bestow vibrancy upon each taco, mirroring the hues of an artist's palette. The finely diced onions serve as a piquant undertone, an essential counterpoint that completes the symphony of flavors. Vegetables, traditionally relegated to mere accompaniments, emerge as vital components that contribute to the multisensory experience.
The crinkle-cut fries, an understated masterpiece in their own right, are golden tendrils of perfection. Their meticulous preparation transcends the banality of fast-food fare, elevating them to the status of gastronomic wands that beckon with each delectable crunch. The nachos, an assemblage of cheesy opulence, invoke imagery of a culinary mosaic, each chip a brushstroke contributing to the grandeur of the edible artwork.
Del Taco's culinary craftsmanship is further exemplified by the condiments, encapsulated in unassuming packets. The Del Inferno, with its creamy richness, and the Del Scorcho, with its zesty kick, are not mere accoutrements but alchemical elixirs that empower patrons to customize their gustatory odyssey. These sauces are metaphors for individuality and choice, transforming each dining experience into a bespoke masterpiece.
In the realm of fast-food establishments, Del Taco distinguishes itself as an epicurean atelier, transcending the ordinary and inviting patrons to partake in a sensory symphony. The drive-thru is not merely a transactional interface but a portal to an elevated plane where taste becomes a nuanced exploration. Del Taco's menu is a testament to culinary finesse, a mosaic of flavors meticulously curated to resonate with the refined palates of its patrons. It is a gastronomic odyssey that challenges preconceptions, where each bite is an invitation to savor the artistry that defines the intersection of fast food and haute...
Read moreVery good Del Taco, hits a nice casual feel with warm colors, good but muted lighting and plenty of tables. This particular location feels very warm and inviting. Service is really pretty good and crew is friendly. The only things they could improve in restaurant is cleaning tables more frequently. And the tables themselves have an aluminum/metal base that seems to be designed to never be level with perpetual uneven feet that cause them to tilt. But let's go deep into the food and why I personally find Del Taco to be so satisfying with little guilt and a great value:
The food is really good for Fast Food and they have great pricing. Definite value with quality offerings. To start off with we had the Donut Bites which come 4 for $1 - they are served warm, taste fresh and have been rolled in a good cinnamon/sugar blend. This was a great alternative to the Dunkin Donuts next store, which would not likely have been warm, sat for hours and end up costing more while being less satisfying especially in the evening.
I also love the Chicken Roller, specifically Chipotle Chicken Roller for $1. This is one of my new favorites. While sometimes a disportionate amount of tortilla to filling ratio, it has Del Taco's flavorful, plump chicken🥰, which is far superior to Taco Bell's shredded chicken that tastes bland, watery, and is probably boiled in a plastic bag, possibly with a leak in it🤐. It should be noted that Del Taco uses this same wonderful chicken in their superior chicken soft tacos and classic chicken burritos. To round out the Chipotle Chicken Roller they add grated cheese and a really good Chipotle sauce (need to get extra sauce and put it on more of their products, maybe fries😍). For a buck, these small mini burrito/quesadilla hybrids are a great tasting value.
Next we had Bean and Cheese burrito with Green Sauce (ask for extra cheese and green sauce) which was delicious. This is a inexpensive burrito that packs a lot of flavor and is surprisingly satisfying. Normally not a fan of Bean & Cheese burritos at any restaurant, due to bland, dry nature of the damn things. However, Del Taco has really good beans that are moist and fresh and that when showcased in their Bean & Cheese w/Green Sauce is just too good to resist. I have been getting it this way for years.
Last we had some Caramel Cheesecake Bites/(egg rolls) 4 for $4.89 with 480 calories. First let me say the 2 pack is enough for one person and might even be enough for 2 people. This is a pricier item and next to a Large Soda probably the least value-to-dollar product we ordered. They are served hot, with a crispy shell like it was coming from a fryer, although the Caramel and Cheesecake filling while liquid and gooey are not scalding hot. The shell is not too doughy or heavy. Overall very satisfying/filling and a bit sweet. The only real complaint on this one is that the Caramel is not consistently portioned between the 4-pack we ordered. 2 of them seemed to have no caramel, a third one barely any and only one where the Caramel was sufficient to be not overwhelmed by the creamy cheesecake...
Read more⚠️ Credit card fraud is definitely happening here. BE AWARE!!! ⚠️
After not being provided my credit card back after going thru drive thru I spent 3 days calling to be hung up on when someone finally answered. When I arrived I found the manager making excuses for not answering and she had a stack of credit cards mostly from SFFCU. She clearly did not have these in any secured location as she turned a corner to the back and immediately was in front of me holding my card with another 20 or so cards. I reported this to the corporate team who immediately had contacted her but she was unapologetic about the issue only citing she was there onsite and unaware anyone had called and she did not need to secure the lost cards.
Something is definitely corrupt going on here. I highly recommend not risking fraud by going to this location.
My last visit they had a plumbing issue causing the drains and toilets to backflow back into the store. The entire inside smelled of sewer and they were still conducting business. I fear there is a serious health issue going on at...
