First time stopping in. My fiancé loves Christian Klay summit mist wine and we decided to make sustaining “small business support“ run. I decided on the Half King bourbon. I must say, as a bourbon fan, I was very pleasantly surprised! It’s a fantastically blended and aged whiskey. I would say it’s very similar in taste and nuances to a “makers cut” (50/50 whiskey/water on ice) made with other top shelf bourbons, but in full potency. Meaning this stuff is super smooth. Really good sweetness with a bold, but not over powering char undertone. Did I mention it’s super smooth? I will definitely be getting more the next time the...

Very small distillery with awesome products. Sampled most of their products. While it is labeled "moonshine" it is watered down to 50 proof to make it more drinkable. I don't know if they make a "real" moonshine (150 proof or more). They are following suit with most small distilleries making "apple pie, pumpkin pie, root beer, etc to make them more appealing to a broader fan base. Honey Burbon (possibly 80 proof not certain) was awesome as was Apple Pie and Rootbeer. They also have mixed drinks ... we had a Bloody Mary (pic attached). I didn't care for the paper straws but they did offer traditional plastic when I...

2025 Update: Haven't been here in a couple of years. What changes! A whole new front addition. They allow smoking so we didn't stay. Did buy 1 bottle of vodka, but there was not much of a selection. Retail sales were in the original bar interior room, but you paid the bartender. Miss seeing the husband and wife owners. Wonder how they are doing.....

Husband and wife family business. Visit every year during Maple Weekend. Vodka, rum, & moonshine. Blueberry, Orange, & Root Beer...yum. Mixed drinks & outside bonfire. Support local...

A great little distillery. The samples provided were enough to encourage us to purchase a couple of bottles. The son of the owner of the winery/vineyard across the street owns this distillery. Super friendly host. Definitely worth visiting. IF you’re coming from the west, slow down to make your right turn just after ‘Country Cottage’. The Fayette Springs Road sign is somewhat hidden. Coming from the east, it’s not quite as bad.
