I don’t normally write negative reviews, only positive ones for businesses; however, I had such a poor experience that I feel compelled to write one. I went to this nail salon one week ago. It was my first time here, so I booked an appointment 1.5 weeks in advance for a manicure and pedicure. I had my manicure appointment and wanted to do a white gel or a simple nail design. When I explained that i wanted to do a gel nail, I was convinced otherwise to do a dip nail. I should preface this by saying that I normally do not do dip nails and prefer gel but the nail tech insisted. I explained that I was getting my nails done for a wedding/warm vacation I was leaving for (this will be relevant soon). So the nail tech did my nails with dip. When I asked about a pedicure I was told they didn’t have time. This was confusing to me because I had an appointment and my sister, who did not, was able to get a pedicure. In any case, I decided to leave and do a pedicure elsewhere. The first day of my vacation, the nails immediately turned yellow. Needless to say, they continued to get more and more yellow as the vacation went on and by the time the wedding arrived, they were incredibly yellow. Not a good look. I went back after my vacation and explained the issue and that I wanted the dip to be removed. The nail tech who did the removal (was very nice by the way) explained that there should have been a top coat placed on it to prevent it from turning yellow in the sun. Having never done dip, I didn’t know nor did I know that it would turn yellow in the sun. I wish this would have been explained to me at the time I did my initial appointment or that the top coat was placed. I can only assume the nail tech is inexperienced and didn’t know either. I also was charged to remove the dip I was unhappy with. I am writing this review to inform others in hopes this helps prevent someone else from having the same issues and spending so much money on a manicure that will not last longer than one day.

Everything was okay, the nail turned out cute but what was not okay was when I continued said it hurts, I am in pain, please file more gentle, you are filing to hard but she did not listen and continues to file hard and fast to the point that I bleed on 4 fingers. I continuously told her I’m bleeding do it more gentle but she didn’t. Then when she started on the other side of my hand she was able to do it more gently. It shows that she could have done that from the start but told me that’s just how it is for the nail style that I choose. I have never bleed and got hurt this much at a nail salon before. This is not normal to me. I don’t feel safe coming back. Although the other lady that did my pedicure, was gentle and listened to me. I just wish someone could have stop in and help. I was loud, but no one didn’t step in. Maybe not all of them are like that.. but just be careful.

Nail Chic is one of the only nail salons that I trust to always satisfy my unique and elegant taste in nail designs, colors, etc. I had the pleasure of having Kim as my nail stylist today. She did such an ASTONISHING job on BOTH services! Manicure and pedicure. Both gel. Acrylic nails were used for my manicure, and then gel, of course. You won’t be disappointed after leaving Nail Chic! Every professional working here feels more like your friend than your daily typical acquaintance. It’s such a pleasant atmosphere to be at, truly! Stop in for yourself and see. You’ll be hooked immediately, just like I was! AND STILL AM. :)

0 stars. Things seemed to be great at first then I got into my service and it started going downhill. I got very slow treatment (as well as the 1 other poc in the building) compared to the rest of the customers. I requested my service over the phone so when I had to explain everything multiple times to the two people doing my nails (for some reason they switched) it was very frustrating. Not only did I have to explain what I wanted multiple times I had to correct the work they did multiple times. They even had people come over (3) to watch, which was so inappropriate and overall not the experience I went in for. At this point all I could do was laugh because I’ve never had this poor treatment before. They would not listen and do my nails the way I wanted and was paying for. As someone paying for a service I expect it to be done better than expected each time, I couldn’t even get what I expected. They reshaped my nails in a way I specifically said no to multiple times and I ended up going home and fixing them all myself. (At least I tried because now my nails are entirely ruined)! When I was done getting my nails painted they sent me out with not a single drop of lotion or cuticle oil or anything. Just dry feet and a poor experience. I sat in my car (thankfully I keep oil and lotion) and finished my service. I left a good tip and regret even leaving a penny. I paid over $90 to have them ruin my nails. And to top it all off, my nail polish is already peeling. I feel so gross having this work on my feet I literally cried because it’s so bad and was a huge waste of my money and time. (Edit: it took 2 months to get off the almost 1 inch thin nail they placed on my big toe, nothing was dissolving or shaving down, this was genuinely my first and last time going to a...

I really love this place, honestly. This was my second trip here and will most likely be using this as my go to nails spot. The nails I got this time round were EXACTLY what I wanted and asked for; the color was perfect, the shape and length spot on. The only thing I don't like, and it happened last time to, is the top they use isn't the best; even after having them in for like three hours, the top coat had started to fade off the tip of one of my nails. It's been almost three days since I got them done, and all the nails have some places were the top coat was scrapped off. I guess I can give them grace given I work in fast food, but other places I've gone, the top coat hasent scraped off. I love my nails so much and she did a wonderful job, but the fact that the top coat us scraping off easily is a little annoying. But the job they do is terrific and they are very keen on details, so I...
