I live close by and have been curious to check out the place. I’ve seen how busy it gets in the evening. I brought my 6 year old on a Friday afternoon to check it out. There were a handful of tables occupied all playing a variety of games. Including a group of older woman who come weekly to play mahjong. We were greeted by one of the men working and he was so kind. Answered our questions, took our drink order and pointed out where all the free games were. My son and I selected a game that was new to us, picked up our drinks and sat at one of their beautiful tables. We had a great afternoon. I left the cafe on a bit of a board game high and am really looking forward to going back on another afternoon with him.

⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Battlegrounds Cafe is hands down the best card shop around! They have an insane amount of inventory that keeps you coming back for more. If you become a regular, trust me, you will not be disappointed. The staff truly cares about their customers, and I've experienced this firsthand. Craig and Corey are absolute gems! Just walking in and seeing them guarantees a good day. The atmosphere is welcoming and vibrant, making it a perfect place to hang out with friends. Plus, the food is delicious! I love this store, I love the people, and I'm always looking forward to my next visit. Great vibes, fun times, and an unbeatable selection – what more could you ask for?

Favorite place for date night. Super chill, nerdy environment with friendly staff. It’s entirely free to come play games here, but definitely show your support by buying a snack or drink from them. They also sell some unique board games if you want to try something new.

I can't say enough positive things about Battleground Cafe! This hidden gem in our community has become my go-to spot for all things gaming. What sets this place apart is not just its impressive collection of games, but the unbeatable combination of a local business vibe, a welcoming atmosphere, and an outstanding team.

The moment you step through the door, you're greeted by a friendly ambiance that instantly makes you feel at home. The staff at Battleground Cafe are more than just employees; they're passionate gamers who genuinely care about their customers. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a casual player, they're always ready to offer expert advice, recommendations, or just engage in a friendly chat about the latest releases.

One of the standout features is the camaraderie among the customers. The community that gathers at Battleground Cafe is a diverse group of friendly individuals who share a common love for gaming. It's not uncommon to strike up a conversation with a fellow gamer, exchange tips and tricks, or even find a new gaming buddy.

What truly sets this game store apart is the exceptional level of assistance provided, regardless of the game you're into. The staff members are incredibly knowledgeable about a wide range of games, from board games to the latest video game releases. They go above and beyond to help you find what you're looking for, offering insights, and ensuring you leave with a smile.

Battleground Cafe is not just a place to buy games; it's a community hub where everyone, from staff to customers, is genuinely passionate about gaming. If you're looking for a local game store that combines a welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and a community of like-minded gamers, look no further than Battleground Cafe. It's a five-star...

I have enjoyed going here it's definitely got some of the important parts of a cafe; the coffee, the pastries, the tea, and other beverages. They tend to have hours that fit well with the people that do 9-5 jobs. While they are a cafe they have a ton of games and also tailor to the Magic the Gathering Community, D and D, Pathfinder, and at least a few more I don't know. If they don't have it feel free to ask them. There are usually a couple of D and D campaigns there and Commander games going on there. They have many good sales and a lot of events. They are quite nice about helping people find groups to play in, I have noticed some times when it is really busy there are groups that form and it gets kind of hard to find a game but that is not the stores fault and they are very nice about offering to start groups to play with. If you are searching for groups to play with I would strongly recommend going to this store. If you do not play any of the games mentioned there are also a ton of games you can try when you are in the store, and I am sure they have a few board games you can buy...

For how highly recommended this was I found it overall meh.

I played Flesh and Blood (FaB). While two games were nice and fun. I don't recommend playing against Dylan or his friends unless you're very competitive and don't care about a fun game. When I went to Prize out I had been earlier misinformed that prizes were pack per win +1.

When asking I felt held hostage by the blond woman as she felt the need to explain and justify that it was only pack per win. I don't know how many time I tried to apologize for being misinformed thank her for correcting me and leave but she did not want to stop explaining.

Pack per win is fine if the vib is there, but when it isn't. Out of 20 people only 3 people are really getting out ahead if it's a competitive play. And with so many other places to play FaB in MN with great communities I won't be back for FaB at least

There is a lot of space, but a lot of it is filled so I'm not sure they need more customers on Tuesday nights. Parking lot was very full too, but there was...
