I went in to Stater Brothers for last minute Christmas gift cards and was excited that they had the ones I wanted. Picked them out and was about to pay when the cashier tells me they only accept cash or debit card for gift card purchases! I was in shock as I always buy my gift cards with my rewards master card credit card. The cashier was adamant that they can not accept credit cards for gift card purchases. I told her that they should put a notice/sign stating that at the gift card section in the store because it was a waste of time and effort especially on Christmas Eve. All she said was sorry.

I went over to Target immediately and found the same gift cards and paid with my master card credit card and not one issue paying for them.

Stater Brothers please look in to this!

The only place to shop for custom meat cuts ! Meaning ! You ask the butcher for a 1 inch thick Ribeye Steak and you "GET" a 1 inch Ribeye Steak ! The impulse to just "buy what's packaged" is all great an dandy if you're in a hurry ! But if you are not ! Ask the butcher questions ! Not only related to meats and their cuts ! Ask about the BBQ ! Panfring! Oven broiler ! Offered great tips on these 3 different methods of cooking up a steak ! You all will discover 3 completely different tastes! They know more than just "cutting up a cow " ! Ask ! You'll see ! Grew up in this an the other Stater''s Bros store in Whittier ! Reluctantly , I wasn't all for a brand new store ! But I'm getting used to the new building and it's decor ! An actual real live in-store butcher is becoming a "Rare"...

I rarely shop at this store, even though I live three blocks away. They never seem to have check out lanes open for patrons with more than 15 items. And it never fails that someone will get behind me with one or two items in order to cut in front of me. How is it, those who wait their turn, in line, in the express lanes (that this store always has 2 or more express lanes open) Or to me, that waited behind the person who had a full cart to let the person who has such gall to ask to go in front of me. It's a small store, perhaps for those that just need a couple of things. There are plenty of other grocery stores that have enough lanes open and larger variety of...
