Mother Made Donuts — Restaurant in Whittier

Cash only, apparently. The woman at the register tried to use the chip on my card as payment and failed, then she tried to swipe it multiple times and couldn’t do that either. She suggested it was my fault somehow.

When I did order my sandwich, which is not only named on the menu but has a full color photo of it, both her and the other employee were confused because they’d apparently never heard of the turkey croissant that they advertise on the menu as having. I finally had to walk back over to make sure I hadn’t just made up a Dream sandwich.

If I ran a donut shop I would at least familiarize myself with the menu and have confidence in my product. Also if my credit card system didn’t work I would apologize to the guest and explain that my system wasn’t working.

I’d say I’d never go back again but they’re almost always closed at night despite the big sign outside claiming to be “open 21...

I stopped here years ago to get some donuts as a time-saving breakfast before taking my son to school. I grabbed one of my favorites (buttermilk bar) while in the car and AFTER I had already taken a bite or two, I noticed there was a piece of carpet stuck to the bottom of my donut! A huge piece, like 3/4 of an inch with the weaved backing attached and everything. It made me nauseous. I took the donuts back to the shop and told them and showed them what I had found and they treated me with disdain. I got my money back because I no longer trusted this shop and have never been back since, even though I drove past it every single day. I couldn't believe how they treated me after selling me something I could have sued them over! I will NEVER step foot in that...

Bought their donuts for years. Best breakfast sandwiches on croissants or bagels; fresh, warm, moist bread. Little hole in the wall place..tight parking but it flows in & out.
