
Facility was nice and my friend and I were able to view a team roping event with no admission charge.
Unfortunately we had to witness a man whip his horse in the face several times with a coiled roping rope causing the horse to jump backwards landing on its withers and saddle each time. It's true I had just witnessed the horse do the same thing with a rider on its back, but that's no excuse in my eyes to intentionally make a horse or any animal injure itself.
Many people standing and on horseback just watching this all go down and no one said anything. We had to leave as it didn't appear this * was going to stop making the horse do this over and over untill withers were broken or some other such tragedy. I guess everyone "parents differently," but we won't be back after witnessing that.
