West Plaza Green Laundry — Local services in Wickenburg

I’ve noticed some changes at this location, and increased my past rating. While I understand the need for upgrades, I feel the need to express my concerns regarding the new pricing structure and overall cleanliness.

The new machines are a great improvement, but they come at a steep cost—$5 or $10 per load and $2 just to start a dryer. I travel extensively across the state, and this is by far the most expensive laundry service I’ve encountered. While I understand that upgrades come with increased costs, the prices here seem disproportionately high compared to other places I’ve visited.

Additionally, the facility tends to stay busy, yet I’ve noticed there’s no attendant available to help with maintenance or cleanliness. The machines themselves may be new, but there’s no one to wipe them down, sweep the floors, or clean the bathrooms, which would go a long way in improving the overall...

Edited based on owner feedback. My cost doesn't change when the only available machines are the $10 machines.

Extremely expensive. Of the 17 washing machines , 9 were $7 a load( 2 of which were out of order, the other reserved for their fluff and fold service), and the other 8 were $10 a load. It's not bad if you only have one laundert type, but when you have 3 different washing loads, it hurts. Dryers are also expensive, $3 just to start them and run for 30 minutes. It's a "green" laundromat because that's what it generates, green money for management, and green faces on those with a limited budget. Family of 4 with 3 different loads ( heavy soil, regulars, and delicates) costs just shy of $40. Most laundromats across the nation can sp the same for...

Maybe the most recent review was taken to heart. We found the laundry clean, with nearly all the machines working. There were two helpful attendants who were mostly busy doing laundry. They left at 1:00.

The cost seemed reasonable, though we have not be using laundromats in the area so have no basis for comparison.

The biggest drawback we found was that there were only two high capacity driers. When we started putting our laundry (including blankets and sheets - we are travelling in a van) into the "regular-sized" dryers, we feared we would be there a long while. But everything was dry after one 34 minute cycle.

It was convenient that the laundry is adjacent to a Safeway. This simplified our stop in Wickenburg.
