My favorite local market! Watch the sales online...they show you current week and next week's ad for sales. Meat is sooo cheap just don't buy during holiday (memorial, labor day, thanksgiving, xmas, etc) meats and cheese can get soo high! They have wine and spirits which is basically a liquor store with a nice selection and very decent prices!) It's separate from the market so no shopping carts in there...pay there and go back to market for food. They have a nice hit food selection decently price (their whole bake chicken is greatly seasoned) I wouldn't eat their salads and other foods from the daily freezer...never looks as fresh as I would like. Deli dept is great...always some sale and very popular...they will cut as thin or as thick and will give samples at request if u wanna try something new! Very friendly and well mannered. There's a bakery table with fresh baked breads... they 're good but expire quick! They're dollar deals section is my fav to pick up small things like razors, qtips, matches, Ziploc bags, candles and more. Detergent is expensive unless you catch a sale. You can get money orders up to $500 and pay only 69 cents. You can do free cash back with purchase. You can buy wilkes barre blue garbage bags here. Balloons are a expensive, juices are very eexpensive! 2 and a half dozen eggs are a great deal at less than $3 bucks. I'm always in here... I would spend $200 dollars but it looks like I spent more because of the amount i can get with their prices so cheap. Bathrooms are decent and well kept. Meat selection can help u find ur special request for decent prices. Young staff there have their fun with eachother but still very professional. Bags are a bit flimsy and break easily so u can request paper with plastic. Has a little seating area if u wanna grab a snack and eat there. Fruit isn't good quality usually my peaches, nectarines and plums are sour. Cherries are usually very sweet when available. Pampers are expensive and so are other toiletries. There 69 cent toliet tissue does the job if the toliet paper isn't on sale(usually it's not). Get the gold cars sometimes the ecoupons get you free stuff. Check the prices sometimes items are scanned higher on computer and doesn't show advertised sale so keep your eye out. Sale weeks are Sun to Thursday (i believe 🤔)...
Read moreThe store is a good place to shop, working here on the other hand is a different story….Well in the DELI department anyway, Everyone is so dull & moody, always coming to work angry, You greet them in the morning you may get a good morning back, you may not!!! (With the exception of some workers…..) They all whisper about each other soon as the person steps away, they’ll tell EVERYONE else they have a issue with you BESIDES YOU!!!! For everyone to be so Older in that department it definitely reminds you of some middle/high school shenanigans….& the Manager JEN will definitely say nothing to you Directly, but you’ll always catch her whispering or talking when you not around, or just staring weirdly at you to you catch her….then she’ll...
Read moreTo the staff and management of Shiel's: thank you for the delivery service you provide. Have been hesitant to enter grocery stores in today's climate. First time ever shopping your store. It was flawless. Easy use of the Rosie app. Simple substitution process. Fair pricing. Contact free drop off option. And courteous drivers. And you can't beat free delivery for $150+. I was actually surprised you fulfilled 2/3 of my order as I was expecting more like 50%. Only comment is it would be nice to be able to add a tip to the driver at the point of transaction. I did however provide a cash tip. I will use the...
