I recently got rid of some living room furniture and would spend a few evenings after work, perusing local furniture stores, trying to get some professional and expert advice and options for new furniture. I hadn't bought new LF furniture in years and was in a position to spend more, but in turn, I also wanted to know more. I was armed with pics of my room, and had drawn a color-coded floor plan with measurements. To my disappointment and frustration, my expectations of getting some expertise, direction and advice were mute. Unless I was buying fast, sight on scene with minimal effort, my salesperson moved on.....not what the commercials told me - expert designers, room planning software, low prices, etc. Not so much..... Before surrendering my search to the Lehigh Valley, I had to check out EFO-my last stop. I was pleasantly met by Ryan and thank goodness - someone who's doing it right. He heard me out, looked at my pics, we sat and analyzed my drawings and it began....he answered everything he could and was the most patient, helpful, knowledgeable and fantastic person. Over a period of two evenings and one Sat afternoon, Ryan had stopped at nothing to strategize with me until we got it just right. He measured and moved different pieces of furniture in the showroom to make 'make-shift' layouts, so I could envision it my space-too big, too small, more, less??? He spent countless hours and I mean hours working with me, my ideas or new ideas and 'no' was not an option for him...or me either. In fact, he made the whole process enjoyable and fun and stopped at nothing until everything was perfect. His management team was amazing also and stood behind Ryan with anything he needed to know to further help me. At the end, with the furniture and layout decided...finally, the water-resistant fabric chosen....finally, the perfectly-sized ottoman selected with fabric to match the sofa....finally, he hung in there with me right down to picking the colors on the 4 pillows that came with my 'sectional'. I sat in front of the rack of options and Ryan and I put some fun color combinations together until we finally got it. Took the whole color scheme of fabrics outside in the natural sun for one last look and boom-Done! The final purchase order was complete and explained to me - prices were very reasonable and I can't say enough about my experience, which is what it should be. If you're looking for customer-centric and reasonably priced furniture shopping, you won't be disappointed. To the EFO management team: IMHO, Ryan is an incredible member of your sales team and he deserves accolades for his kindness, ideas, time and for going above and beyond for the customer. It is my hope that you realize the value and young talent that Ryan possesses and what a true...
Read moreUnfortunately our experience here was not as positive as these other reviews. Delivery guys were late on a Saturday. About maybe thirty minutes after our scheduled delivery time, I called EfO informing them our bed has not been delivered yet. They were dumbfounded, stated it should have been here already. So they tell me they'll call me back. Few minutes later they call me back stating the delivery truck broke down and is behind on their deliveries (how does the company not know their truck has been broken down for over an hour is beyond me). So our scheduled time gets pushed back about two hours. We were infuriated as this is our Saturday and we are spending it waiting for a bed that should have been delivered hours ago. Delivery guys finally show up. They weren't apologetic at all for being hours late. The one was complaining about something while putting my bed together. Soon after they left, I notice that the headboard is missing a screw and the other was not even the correct screw and was not tightened. So the headboard was not assembled correctly. So I called EFO, spoke with the manager, who did not show a care in the world how irate we were with their service, tried explaining them the problem but they weren't understanding. They said they'd have the delivery guys come back and fix it. Well guess what. They never came back. So I had to have a friend come over and help me fix the bed because I was not going to deal with any more idiots. I called EFO and told them the delivery guys never came back to fix their mess up. First the Manager tells me that the Manager of the delivery department will call me to discuss a refund on the $100 delivery and "installation" charge. Well guess what, no such manager contacted me. Then another idiot calls me telling me that they'll have the delivery guys come back on Monday to fix the bed. I said "No I had someone else fix it and on top of that we had to go to the hardware store and buy the supplies ourselves" . Monday comes and they call me informing me the delivery guys are on their way..... I repeated to them once again that I told the Manager on Saturday that we fixed the bed ourselves. I will NEVER go to this place again and have shared my experience with...
Read moreRob was a perfect salesperson and was very knowledgeable and helpful. We decided on a custom sofa and ottoman manufactured by England Furniture. When our new furniture was delivered it was damaged by the delivery persons ramming the sofa through a narrow door, even though a much wider door was offered. The material has been damaged down to the fabric backing. We also noted the back cushions are sewn on crooked and there is a noticeable dip on the right side of the sofa. This sofa was a custom order, not scratch and dent, not clearance. We paid full price and expected perfect furniture. We requested a new sofa and have been denied by EFO. Today I spoke to a very sarcastic John Little in customer service and he insisted, no new sofa, and no return. Instead he has ordered “parts” and they will repair my new custom sofa in my house! I have since put this charge in dispute with my credit card company and will post on the progress of customer service from EFO regarding my new custom furniture.
UPDATE-June 23. Waiting, waiting, waiting for some sort of service or information from EFO. We tried going into store and speaking to Operation Manager. He said he would help. Pause for Covid. Then we tried numerous e-mails. We simply can not get any answers or service. The damaged disgraceful furniture sits in the room. As for the owner response about the narrow hallway........you haven't been to my home. I personally invite you. I want you to see the 36 inch wide entry door as well as a six foot sliding glass door. You will also see the steps have a removable railing! Oh and perhaps you may want to take a look at the furniture you delivered while we visit. I would think you would be interested in that. Call me anytime to set up a meeting. Today we contacted England Furniture direct, hopefully they will help....
