Norge Community Hall — Local services in Williamsburg

The venue is gorgeous and we had an absolutely beautiful reception here! Plenty of space, light, tables and chairs and the kitchen is spacious and well equipped for events. I can only rate it so well however because the woman that coordinates the rentals is quite awful. In the beginning she was polite and responsive and gave us the information needed to send our “donations” in order to rent the hall and mailed the contract over to us fairly quickly. But the second that I had fulfilled the payment required for the rental it was like a switch flipped. She was INCREDIBLY rude and heaven help you if you send her a message outside of some mystery business hours. The number on the website that you’re prompted to text must be her personal phone because when I texted her at a later hour she responded with “who in Gods name texts anyone else at this hour?” As though it is common knowledge that the number is not to a business phone or as if she absolutely had to read it the second it was sent. Furthermore, she’s very adamant about the contract being sent back by a certain date and so I made sure to text her the day I received it and when I sent it back out the very next morning and she still called me a week later asking me if I had sent it back. And then asked me AGAIN over message and then said she just hadn’t been to the mailbox…. When I responded to her message about the text at a later hour than she would have preferred she asked “who is this? I don’t have this number on the hall calendar” She hadn’t bothered to save my contact information or write it on the hall calendar after I had already sent over $600 and signed a contract.

She is highly unprofessional, rude and absolutely should not be in charge of coordinating rentals as she clearly has very few people skills.

Beautiful location and if there were a different coordinator to speak to I would HIGHLY recommend it but at this time, this is the review that is deserved.

I also wouldn’t recommend using any of the hall’s dishes unless you’re going to hand wash them as it’s required that someone stay behind to wait for the dishwasher to be...

Short and precise ... really rude woman kinda felt her racist. Paid the 250$ while talking over the phone sent her a screenshot as a "donation" she said great. Then she checked back and said I haven't received deposit so I sent her the pic 4 times. She kept saying she couldn't see it in words but until she noticed she kept pressing phone screen blocking the amount. Anyways I'm 8 months pregnant and had a really bad time with this lady everytime I asked her something she couldn't answer polite . Extremely rude . My husband stayed until 12 cleaning the restrooms, mopping the floor, cleaning the counters and she still kept 75$ . At this point I didn't even care . She can keep the money I guess she needs it more to feed her family or whatever . Never renting from here again. I've worked for customer service since I was 18 and I'm sure about something this lady has no polite or customer service skills at all. Maybe it was a racism thing or just her attitude but definitely not a bad day because every time we communicate she had this attitude. Glad we're done with our event. We rented here because of short time but next time we rather pay more with a hotel salon than with this...

We had our vow renewal reception at Norge Hall this past weekend! Chris was such a pleasure to deal with! She was kind, helpful and classy!

Norge Hall is Williamsburg/Toano's best kept secret for Wedding Venues that are small. The capacity is 100 which was great for our needs since we had 83 people. The prices is the most reasonable in the area if you're looking for a venue that isn't humongous.

We had a blast! The only down side was that we couldn't get the fans going and the AC went nuts on us. Other than that we had fun and the Hall was the perfect place for our big day!
