ECX Scooter Shop — Local services in Wilmington

There is nothing but great thinfs I have to say about ECX Scooter Shop and owner Michael Pytel. I live in Baltimore and searched for a place I could go and purchase a well made scooter for my son. I found a couple places near me that I could have gone to until I called and spoke to Michael at ECX in Delaware. He was very polite, easy to talk to and very knowledgeable about scooters. After a 10-minute conversation with him I knew I was going to take the hour and a half trip to his shop. Michael gave my son and I a run down on scooter brands, types, parts and helped my son pick the one best for him. After purchasing the scooter my son was able to use it right away on the connected skatepark which is an amazing Park in itself. I strongly recommend if you are looking for a scooter to visit Michael at ECX scooter. I am very satisfied with the purchase, my son is very happy with his new scooter. We plan on going back to the skatepark on a regular basis now. All the kids at the park we're very polite and a couple even offered to show my son around the park. It has a very warm family feel to the skatepark and we can't wait...

The owner, who usually goes by “Pytel”; is a saint. Not only has he been in the “Scootering Industry” for longer than anyone around; He is beyond a nice guy and he’ll make sure your customer experience isn’t just good and that it’s awesome.

Pytel uses 100% transparency and his very large amount of experience when it comes to choosing what parts/products you are considering buying for yourself/your kid. He can potentially save you a lot money instead of you buying something you think you wanted, but then you learn it may not be right for you and you would then need to go buy a different part. Pytel has been in the game long enough to be a great scooter “consultant” to lean on and get advice from to ensure your buying the right parts for your setup.

Awesome scooter shop. Highly recommend! Michael was such a pleasure and very friendly! He is knowledgeable on the products he carries and was able to answer all my sons questions. He offers some free services, such as applying the grip tape, putting on new grips, assembles scooters and cutting bars adjusted to the size of the rider again all for free!
