My boyfriend and I read the reviews of Bellefonte Brewing and were excited to come and try out their beers. However the experience was less than stellar. When we arrived, people were starring at us. We could tell we “crashed” something but there were no private event signs. The business is open on Mondays and even has a happy hour!! We were excited to go, but the vibe put us off. The bartender was annoyed by us ordering beer. She had an attitude and seemed like she didn’t want to serve us. Then when we sat outside the bartender came outside and hung out with friends. They were drinking upon other activities. It seemed like a local hangout place for regulars but felt unwelcoming to newcomers in the area. The beers were okay and reasonably priced. Super chill vibe, everyone was so friendly. The kind of place where you could make friends fast. Like a hometown dive bar vibe except with delicious craft brew.
