Tint World — Local services in Wilmington

This last warranty visit was the last straw! Who are these guys to think they can fill up my tank when I drop it off empty? Who are these guys that actually honor their warranty?! Ill tell you who, the BEST in the business of automotive customization and protection! Big shoutout to everyone there including but not limited to Dennis, Donna, Shaun, John, Ty and the rest of the team who even repair minor paint infractions and chips!

My business started with these guys earlier in the year when I came to them with a vision. We took a boring ol White 23’ Sonata and turned it into a Rainbow Tinted, Blacked out, completely Clear Film protected car that not only now has 360 degrees of protection, but a car that has style, attitude and turns heads EVERYWHERE it goes. I cannot park this thing without someone complimenting it, getting looks, or people asking me what all has been done. Driving down the road people cant help but give it a look.

I am not an easy customer but these guys have far exceeded my expectations and we still have much more business ventures to do. I cant wait to see what we do with the wheels, exterior/Interior custom lighting, and even advice on my own customization options. The sky is the limit and these guys are definetely willing to not only suggest ideas, but take yours into consideration.

See pictures for timeline of what has been done to the car. Carbon fiber, rear louvers, door edge guards were all me but youd be surprized the amount of work that went into the PPF, Blackout, Ceramic coating inside/Out, the detailing that cars into every car wash….truely phenomenal.

Not the shop for those who are picky about their window tint. Ended up here after buying a vehicle on a whim, and needed tint ASAP. The shop I’d normally use was booked out for almost 2 months and Tint World said they could get me right in. That should’ve been a red flag, but I was impatient and went ahead with the work.

Full tint (8 panels) on my Grand Cherokee L. Every one was full of contamination and/or defects. I returned with my vehicle, dropped it off and left it overnight to be completely redone. The shop did cover my rental car, which was appreciated.

After having the work completed a second time, 3 of the 8 panels were still left with defects or contamination. According to the shop, they aim for 95% defect/contamination free….5 of 8 decent windows is not exactly hitting that mark.

I was told by the shop owner that the tint is for privacy and heat reflectivity, and not meant to be a cosmetic enhancement to the vehicle, and as long as it’s functional in those two objectives, they consider it a job well done.

I also suspect that the brand of film advertised may not be what they’re actually using in your vehicle. There is even a sign conveniently located in a dark corner of the waiting room that states the shop reserves the right to substitute advertised brands for a film of...

I truly am very happy when I come upon a business that provides excellent customer service and amazing product service. I recently had my new car tinted at the Wilmington location of Tint World. My service writer, Nick was amazing from the initial contact to the final point when I left after having my car tinted. I was very indecisive about what shade tint to have applied and he was more than helpful and accommodating even when I changed my mind only minutes before the job began. He was professional and very customer service oriented which is something seldom found. The person who applied the tint was also wonderful. The site has a window that looks into the work area from the waiting room and she was at the window working on my car so I could check in anytime I wanted. She was always very attentive to the car and taking care not to leave any mess or residue on the car during the tint job. The final product was also perfect. I used to tint for a Lexus and VW dealership 20 years ago in Santa Monica, CA so I know an excellent job when I see it and her skills are nothing short of perfect.
