Food Lion — Local services in Wilson

After ten years of shopping at Food Lion. I regret every purchase. I am elderly and for health reasons, I am not required to wear a mask or a gag. I was harassed at two different stores, so this is likely a corporate policy. People in thier stores (possibly security staff) , are not discouraged from surrounding you and sniffling and coughing on either side while in the spice isle. This was done with their cloth masks on their chin in order to intimidate me. I can't verify if this is store personnel, yet when a similar thing happens in another store it may be they are trying to socially dictate ( incorrectly) a guidline. However I asert my rights to not endanger myself, they seem to favor a social dicratorship. They persisted even after I informed them I was legally exempt due to health reasons. I should not have to explain my medical situation with random antagonists in order to shop for food or medicine. If you are still American, avoid these stores as much as possible. I gave them one star because I didn't want folks to think I simply forgot, but if the software allowed, I would give this whole corporate entity a negative five star rating. Bought food for work and realized as soon as I got to my job, items were missing! I called Food Lion immediately. I was super angry but thankfully Tanya the CS Mgr told me she would make everything right. She looked at the video and even though she couldn’t see that I didn’t get my items she still made good and not only replaced the items I was missing but also gave me a $10 gift card to Food Lion AND best of all brought me my (7) missing items when she got off because I work in Home Health and can’t leave my patient. She definitely went above and beyond even when I wasn’t the calmest upon first calling! I’m the type of person that will travel further and spend more money to shop somewhere I’m valued and treated like I’m appreciated. Food Lion has definitely earned my business and showed me that they appreciate me. And also I don’t know how long Tanya has been at the Brentwood Food Lion in Wilson NC but she is very kind, fair and definitely an asset to Food Lion! So thank you. BTW I believe that my (7)items were given to an older lady in front of me because they had to suspend her order and put bags in her cart followed by moving her to a different lane to check her out. While 2 employees where doing this my items where being scanned....

My daughter went for a quick shopping trip today at Food Lion. She has an autoimmune disease and is on disability. When she went to the register to pay her card was denied. She is very conscientious about her account and knew she had money in her account to pay for her purchase. She was getting frustrated by this so the manager was called. Once he found out what the problem was he pulled out his wallet and paid for her purchase then looked at her and told het to have a great day! OMG! My daughter was shocked and didn't understand what happened. When she left the store she called me to tell me about her experience. I too work for Food Lion but in another town. I can only say how proud I am to work for a company that has great people in leadership positions like Mr Reeves.
