Taste of China Restaurant — Restaurant in Wilson

This place is the place to eat if you want good Chinese food. I've been here twice, now. The first time I came, I ordered Hot and Sour soup, white rice, and spring rolls. It was good. The level of saltiness sweetness, and sourness of the soup was just right. And the spring rolls crunchy and the stuffing a good consistency; not mushy as other places I've had them at before. Today, I ordered off from the healthy diet menu, and I was very very happy and satisfied with the meal! I ordered the chicken with mixed vegetales. The chicken was so delicous, even without the salt. The veggies well cooked, especially the broccoli. Some places overcook their veggies - that's not the case here at Taste of China Restaurant in Brentwood! What I loved the most was (what I think was) red vinegar. It was lightly sweet with slight tartness and it went very well with the meal! Other places usually serve the heavy syrup that's too thick and salty. To say the least, I ate EVERY single veggie (except the mushrooms, because I personally don't like) and the chicken. The waiting time was about 10 min. I ate there and I was pleased to find that the tables were clean and not sticky like I usually find at other Chinese places! The floor could use a little mopping, but it could be that the floor just has smudges from past incidents. It doesn't take away from the experience though, so I still gave the 5 stars. The food is great, however, customer service is downright horrible. The other day I called in to place an order for general tso's chicken. The lady on the phone cut me off and didn't even give me a chance to complete my order. When I arrived, it turns out she got my order mixed up with sesame chicken. So I had to wait another 5 minutes for them to correct my order. When it was finally done, she placed my meal into a dirty bag that had sauce stains on it and got annoyed when I ask her to put it in a clean bag. As I'm looking over the meal before leaving, I realized there wasn't an eggroll in the bag. It turns out she gave me the small meal order rather than the dinner special. Then she gets an attitude when I told her I wanted the dinner special. So basically she charges me another dollar to get the eggroll. Hmm maybe if the lady didn't cut me off on the phone she wouldn't have screwed up my order in two different ways. Very poor service here and I won't be going back! Such a shame because the...

Ordered Beef lo mein was good just not much beef, but I would order it again. Crab Rangoons were awful. Just pastry with cream cheese maybe a small crab piece in every other one.
