My family has been purchasing jewelry from F&G Richard's since the 1970s, and we will continue to do so as long as the doors are open. From ID bracelets, to wedding rings, first earrings, watch repairs and birthday/anniversary gifts, we have never had a bad experience, or purchased an item that we were unsatisfied with from these wonderful folks. In fact it is always the exact opposite. Jewelry purchased from F&G has become a part of the fabric of our family. Gifts purchased for us by family members are prized and worn daily, year after year. Loved ones have passed away, their jewelry has been passed on, and those of us who were lucky enough to receive our loved ones items, truly cherish them and hold them dear. The employees and owner are professional, friendly, and attentive, and are always willing to take as much time as you need to help you pick out an item. Most recently my wife and I had some rings repaired, and once again we were both blown away by the superior craftsmanship, and attention to detail. If you live in the Winsted area, F&G should be your ONLY stop for jewelry, and if you don't live in the area, trust me when I tell you it will be well worth the trip. F&G has been in business since 1955, I assume because of the quality of their products, impeccable service, and personal attention to detail. Family businesses are the key to a healthy local economy. Buy locally before we become totally dependent upon corporate interests, and the charm of small businesses disappear, and downtown businesses...
