My friend raved about this place. We are there a couple times. It was OK. Your pork fried rice will always be dry as all get out which is sad since it comes with the meal type options.

Last time I ate there, violently ill. Violently. Haven't even had Chinese in a long time. Tried another place I'm not going to put in since this is about China star and my friend who had raved of this place was surprised saying, "oh this is good the meat isn't gritty."

You suggested somewhere you thought has gritty meat my friend? That is not good!

First impression of the place was it looked a bit dirty. I don't much care about the dreary eating space as it's a hole in the wall take out joint.

God bless those who rated this place highly but I am writing an honest review so that this restaurant takes people and quality seriously. I went into the restaurant and ordered a takeout. Even though I was taking out, I ensured to tip well the only person on that place on a Saturday late afternoon. I ordered a soup, veg dumplings, fried rice and a kung pao chicken. Soup was decent. Veg fillings for the dumplings was very ordinary, but the sauce was good. Fried rice was absolutely atrocious, Rice was dry, old and uncooked, very bad for health to eat such rice. Kung pao was even worst, peanuts was old and smelling. It spoiled the dish and could not eat at all. Please correct your issues and improve your quality. While the service is good & the atmosphere hasn’t changed since I was a kid, the food has changed for the worse. What used to be homemade, fresh American style Chinese food has now become pre-made frozen & cooked food. I think this place came under new ownership around a decade ago. I have tried it every few years & every time I’m disappointed. The egg & spring rolls are never crispy or fresh. They’re soggy, chewy, & with a grayish color. You can just tell all their food is pre-made & likely bought in bulk. They no longer give you the packets of sauce that the previous owners used to load up in the bag.
