My husband and I made a reservation to stay here for a month since we were going to be working an event in Vegas. Despite the reviews I went forward because of the good price point and because reviews said the internet was good and I had a Skype meeting today, only to have the nightmare blow up in my face. After checking in late last night we woke up to a call this morning being told that we were being refunded and asked to leave that our RV was too old. This was confusing to me is seeing as we walked around the park and other what seemed to be permanent residents some in older rigs some living out of Vans with awnings seemed quite set up here. The front office woman, Tina tried to defend the bogus reasoning sayinit was a county 10 year rule which is apparently a guideline considering the conditions then eventually blurted out it was a private property and they basically can turn away who they want, it was about them being grandfathered in and my renovated 1975 Coachmen classic not being acceptable. She proceeded to try and reprimand us as if I had done something wrong by booking it online on their system and saying that we would have been turned away if we had come to the office. I then asked what was the point of a reservation system seeing as we traveled in from California and had a conversation discussing the age already. What she truly didn't have the backbone to say was that the senior community of permanent residence here was not pleased with our colorful Follow the Sunshine mural work on the rig. Should have gone with my gut this place was not inviting a dangerous area and definitely not the fun-loving kind of place you want to stay in Vegas. These people are only trying to make the Riviera mobile home park next door bigger by calling this an RV park but it is not for...
Read moreUpdate: Park manager is now claiming that our RV looked worse than pictures... it looks exactly the same as the 4 pictures we sent, one of each side, and upon which approval was extended.
And, when we did arrive, I suppose "technically" the manager said we could stay...she said (and I have witnesses), "You can stay, but we don't want you here." WOULD YOU STAY if someone invited you in this way?
Original Review: I wanted to provide details on our recent HORRIBLE experience with Riviera RV Park in Las Vegas.
We reserved a spot in August 2021. Since we drive a Vintage Bluebird Wanderlodge (well cared for -- see pic), and they have a "10 years or newer without approval" policy, they asked for and we sent pictures of all four sides of our coach. This is often a requirement by RV parks -- one that we understand and happily comply with.
On 11 August 2021 we received explicit approval from the park's manager for our stay and the Park took a deposit towards our stay in November.
Fast Forward to November -- We arrive and are IMMEDIATELY told that the park would not allow a coach as old as ours, and does not allow School Buses in any case. I showed the manager HER APPROVAL from August -- she denied making the approval saying that she would "Never approve a School Bus." Neither is true -- she DEFINITELY approved us, and our coach is NOT a "Schoolie." I offered to show her the RVIA badge to prove this was a factory-built RV, but she made it VERY CLEAR we were not welcome.
This unethical and dishonest behavior left us with a big problem as last minute bookings are not easy in Snowbird-Country. So I am, therefore documenting this in the hopes that everyone within reach of my voice will STAY AWAY from...
Read moreA HUGE disappointment! Stayed here before and enjoyed our stay. Returned again a stayed for 11 days. The staff and security guard were the rudest and most unpleasant people we have ever dealt with in all our 39 years RVing. We always respect the park and follow their rules when posted or/and written. We in turn expect the same respect when staying. On three occasions coming back at midnight after playing in the National Championships we were told we had broken the rules. 1. Driving too fast speeding through the area which was 5mph. We may have the first day 10 mph however after being warned we were very careful. 2. Told us to walk ohs between the white lines where cars drive. (Other residents did not do that we witnessed) 3. Not to drone through or in between the rigs which we were the only one in that area. The guard was very rude and we told him we had no set of rules to follow and would be sure to do what he asked. We asked at office to spend another day and was told to leave that we were evicted. What a shock. This is is a sad ending to a place that on the outside is a lovely place to stay. However if you don’t have a list of rules to follow you can’t. When we heard them we did. As they say “pretty on the outside but ugly to the bone”. Other people have complained however we did not believe it. It is TRUE. Bad attitude. Don’t think they want big rigs like our Tiffin Bus as they cater to their semipermanent residents. Such a shame for once nice property to stay. If you question this feel free to ask. In my opinion you should not stay as you can be harassed without cause. I am a Trip Advisor Guide and am careful on my reporting. This place...
