This year was my very first year attending this event. I have been hearing about it, and have been seeing the event come through every year, but this year I decided to give it a try. Let me tell you something, I should have been going every since the first time I heard of it. The food is absolutely awesome! The Greek people really know how to season food, and everyone there at the event is so friendly. They have live music and they also do Greek culture dances that they will be doing while you are there. The Greek Orthodox Church in Winston Salem, NC is a fine example of the Greek Culture. It is VERY family oriented. Once a year they hold a GREEK FESTIVAL. It is an excellent opportunity to see and experience examples of the Culture and the incredible food. Every year the Church donates 10% of the proceeds to the local Children's (Brenner) Hospital. Great Take Out Process - 2018 Order online or by phone, drive to the Church, stay left once on the property (signs for take out/handicap parking). Stay in the left lane and have your credit card or cash ready. There will be a cashier on foot that will come to you, take your payment, and give you a plastic strip with unique number.
