Food Lion — Local services in Winston-Salem

Two associate’s where rude today, because I didn’t want to use the self checkout? The first says to me and other people in line, self check out is open. We make eye contact so I say nicely, no thank you. She proceeds to talk about me to her customer in front of her saying, some people just want to wait. . . I get to the front of my line with another rude employee and let her know customers don’t want to wait it’s just sometimes we don’t want to use self check out, and I think it’s job security for them. She tells me she is always going to have a job and hands me the receipt. Miss, your at work, what is with all the attitude! You should be happy I got in your line because you are both at work? What is with this aggression and push for me to use self check out when you are standing here with the job to - check me out. . . I have been spending money here for years! Do better Food lion on New Walkertown Rd. If theses ladies don’t like there jobs, maybe they need...

Store is well stocked, everything you'd expect at a Food Lion. I have bought some products in jars that I couldn't open. Figures, the products had been expired well over two years. The jar was trying to protect me from the contents, your best friends can come from unexpected places. Thank you, jar of salsa. Management quickly corrected the issue by replacing the product when I brought it up.

Parking lot is not your friend at night. Some folks trying to sell cigarettes, others attempting to stab other folks in the parking lot (security was quick to close the door). As it stands I have only seen one car chase through the parking lot. I am a late night customer, usually right before close @ 10pm.

Beer is on sale at the moment, no one buys the craft beer, if you're brave enough get the 6 pack from the back and get a beer that keeps well. Natty light on the shelves sees more purchases & I'm sure it's "fresh".

I've been shopping here now for 11 yrs.,and I have definitely seen a change.Most of the worker are very sweet, pleasant and helpful.Every now and then a few are nasty and unpleasant.I just want to shop in peace without sarcasm and nasty attitudes.You know leave that at the door, because I don't deserve it.I'm always pleasant and I thank them and bless them for their service,even when I feel uncomfortable or notice sarcasm from them.You never know what someone is going through,so be nice cause it can make a world of difference.This is my neighbor hood and I will continue to shop here and pray for good service.Thank you all and have a...
