I literally can’t begin to voice my complaint about this terrible cesspool of an apartment.
On the second month of living here, our house was infested, and I mean INFESTED, with termites. As well as roaches and other insects from hell that were fairly unfriendly, not to mention just nests on top of nests of spiders everywhere. Our entire living room floor was just a swarm of confused termites and when we asked them to take care of the problem, the came three days later and we had to clean up the mess ourselves with no vacuum (fun)
Each month brought a new problem as if Moses himself was casting plagues upon our home.
Other tenants have demestic disputes atleast once a week, children scream and shout unsupervised for every day of the week. Dogs seem to bark and sound left alone for hours out of the day.
With the new addition of a gate and security cameras that don’t even appear to be on, the problems on got worse. The gate only works at night time and isn’t double sided, I don’t even know if the fire dept can get inside without someone running all the way outside just to let them in. Anyone can walk in during the day, so they’re kinda useless at this point. They cause more problems than they help. Not to mention it’s key card activated instead of clicker, so you might get hit by some impatient tenant getting to your car.
The place was built in the 70s, which apparently means that plumbing was very bad at that era??? The complex has been having (Slab leaks) for around 4 years now, and they still haven’t fixed them all, which also means shutting the water off without notice for around 9am to 6pm or even 9-9 which means bathing or even drinking could be taken away from you without notice for an entire day, hope you don’t plan on cooking pasta
Each time management changes, they pick a few random women who seem to not know how to do they’re job , and shrug their shoulders more often then actually listen. The plumbing service has been seen taking 3 hour breaks, not to mention the emergency maintenance hotline’s voicemail is always full and they never answer. During the water shutoff issue they changed thier voicemail to say “Stop calling if your issue involves water” , and maintenance has been known to leave your jobs unfinished and even when they enter while your gone (written and agreed upon ofcourse) they left my door unlocked, when this complex is known to have theft issues. Mind you all of these issues are quite literally swept under the rug when they show you the complex. When I was shown my area of living, I was told about some amazing remodeling done to our home, shown an amazing home that was done over and was told that ours would look the same, but when we got in we didn’t find out till later that nothing was new, just painted over and rushed. Practically and literally incomplete.
The bus route on this street is literally the worst in El Cajon, with literal one hour wait times and attitude wearing drivers, getting to work will be a hassle if your using the bus, you’ll have to walk 1.2 miles just to get to a bus that will take you to the trolley in an acceptable time, and the bus in front of the complex stops running at 5:30, so have fun finding a way home.
I can’t in my right mind recommend this complex to anyone. For many reasons and many strikes agains fair living and safe living violations, raising the rent with a 60 day notice. Not to mention unwanted changes and issues pile up when others are still unfixed. The rent was at an acceptable 1450, but now it’s been bumped up to 1650 after changes they want, and issues they’re making. When minimum wage is still at 12, and living with roommates has become trivial in San Diego. It’s interesting to see how this is still legal in America .
If I could rate 0.5 or even 0.1 stars I would. The only thing nice I could say about this complex, is that it has walls, a roof, and windows .... thank you.
I can’t type all of the problems I have with this complex, because ide write a book at the end of the day. Be careful , stay...
Read moreWhen I first moved in these apartments in September of 2012 they were quite and seemingly well kept, boy was I wrong, I had to have my apartment sprayed twice in 7 months for roaches, the management changed so many times I was constantly given notices for amounts of money no one could seem to explain. Which I ended up speaking to corporate in regards to. My downstairs neighbor had 2 slab leaks in less than 60 days. The water would be turned off often without notice for emergency repairs. My car was towed out the parking lot the 3rd day I lived there and management only compensated me 200 for a 390 dollar retrieval of my vehicle considering I was told nothing about which spaces were "reserved" and which were not. By the second month living there I started seeing Uhal trucks much more frequently. tenants were moving out and rift raft was moving in! You could barley walk the side walks without almost being run down by children on their bikes or scooters. The parents seemed to have let their children lose on the complex regularly. I had children who knew my daughter from school WALK IN my front door without as much as a knock. management failed to provide me with a working oven for 2 and a half months during which time management was changing. I had a roof leak in the smaller of the 2 bedrooms that they took 3 weeks to repair and I got 3 days worth of compensation towards my rent for. Honestly this was the worst place I had lived in El Cajon management wise. I wasn't comfortable calling this place home any longer and moved out a month after my lease agreement ended. I wouldn't referee this place to anyone. Its unprofessional and the people hanging out by the trash cans and garages was almost frightening not to mention the smell of marijuana that frequently flowed through my windows during the middle of the day. It's just not a place you want...
Read moreNEW management NEW attitude!!! The new management team for this complex is amazing. If you feel otherwise you are most likely the problem and not the solution for the direction that this complex is going. For everyone who is upset with the riff raff hanging around, bad neighbors, people "selling drugs" the new management team is already taking the necessary steps to clean the complex up. If you do not know, it is not the easiest thing in the world to kick someone out of an apartment so be patient. As for the tenants/new tenants worried about bugs, small insects, ect. the new management team has a company come out every Wednesday to spray, go in and ask for your apartment to be on the list. Welcome to California! haha ants, small insects, bugs run wild. Every apartment I have ever been in at least at the minimum has ant problems so take advantage of the company that comes out and sprays!!! ALSO, get with the management team for your cars. They have a new plan in order for the parking to be easier, DO NOT GET YOUR CAR TOWED. Get the details from the new management before you have friends parking in spots that they are not allowed to park in. As for the pool and spa, I am sure that they will make sure that they both are up and running very quickly, and hopefully kept clean. I have faith in them, they are good people. I just want everyone to understand new tenants and existing ones, the issues dealing with this complex, at least all the ones I am reading looks as if it would of been easily handled at the management teams level, so now that we have new management team I am sure everything will be going good and smooth in 6 months. Give them time, and be patient.
good...
