Mary Nail Salon — Local services in Wolcott

Blanca is an amazing nail technician who not only does a great job with nails, but also speaks English fluently. However, the girl who sits next to her doesn't speak English and can be quite hostile when I call and ask questions during my pedicure service. There is definitely a language barrier and despite my efforts to communicate, she refuses to properly understand me. On one occasion, she charged me for a gel pedicure but ended up using regular polish instead. When I questioned her about the overcharge, she simply replied that I "owed" her. I was left confused and frustrated. During my recent visit to another salon for a pedicure, the technician was shocked to see one foot with gel polish and the other with regular polish. It was a total mix-up and felt like a rip off. In situations like these, I believe it is important to assertively communicate and address any issues to avoid such misunderstandings and inconveniences...

If I could leave a 0 I would. I went in with a friend to get pedicures. The girl says sit at the chair as we do and when I put my foot in the foot bath the water was so scolding hot I actually burnt my foot! So we continue on as that should have been my sign to say forget it! I ask for a wax pedicure as I’m going on vacation and want nice nails. Well the lady painted my toes and I sat there for a while letting them dry with my friend as we weren’t really in a rush! Well half way home I realize the nail polish never dried and it infact has wax still on my foot! I completely wipe off the polish with a dry paper towel! And there refuse a refund!!...

I found these lovely ladies driving by one day during work, and I am so glad I stopped in! I have been there a couple of times now and they are always spectacular! Even when there is an incident they are readily available to fix it. I would recommend...
