I discovered Five Guys Flippin’ Pies through the Beard Meats Food YouTube channel, where Adam and his friend Wayne attempt to take down THE GOLIATH PIZZA! This 28-inch 2 topping pizza is free for any team of two who can consume it all in under an hour. Few have conquered the Goliath, but majority have fallen victim to its vicious volume. I always wanted to attempt this challenge, but could never find a partner that felt confident in holding up their share of the pie. However, I heard they also offer a solo version of the Goliath as a cheese pizza. Only one other person had ever attempted let alone finished it solo. I knew I had to get in there and give it shot to fill out the leaderboard. Armed with veracious appetite and competitive drive, I went in ready to dominate! The staff and owner made me feel at home as they allowed me to film my attempt, bring in my own drinks, and even gave me a choice of cut for the pie. I opted with traditional slices vs a square cut that that usually implement for this party pizza. Piping hot out of the oven, the Goliath glistened and smelled heavenly. Its crispy crust provided a firm base for the soft gooey cheese and succulent sauce on top. Each slice remained crunchy without becoming floppy or dripping a river of grease. Five Guys Flippin’ Pies knows how to make a proper pizza. While eating my 28-inch pizza, I had moments of stopping and giving up lest I vomit. However, with some savior sips of diet soda and determination, I plowed through and completed the entire Goliath in 28:04 seconds, shattering the previous record of 57:26 and placing me 1st on their leaderboard right under my YouTube heroes.
Thank you so much to everyone at Five Guys Flippin Pies for cooking me the best pizza I’ve had in years and helping me fill my competitive eating dreams! I hope everyone comes in to eat this...
Read moreI’m thrilled to have Pizza 69 Kitchen in Wolcott! While only open couple months, this spot has impressed in each of my multiple visits. I have a big family with kids, and there’s something great for everyone. There are so many go-to’s to list, and some highlights are: crispy NY style pizza(cheese, pepperoni, other toppings, either way you can’t go wrong), the right type of chicken tenders, Alfredo pasta perfectly sauced, solid wings, and don’t sleep on the chicken tacos. Most of all, I feel so welcome walking in here. Everyone is friendly, kind, and genuinely interested in providing a...
