Highland Grove Pool — Local services in Woodbridge Township

Nice pool, nice big picnic area, huge area with picnic tables, nice size parking area, lifeguards, snack bar could be a little more diverse and expanded - would probably make more money and offer more jobs to teenagers in town, as well as recreation for them. The price I felt was a little steep for the day, considering it's a community pool. I mean it's local recreation for families here in town, why make it so expensive? I think they should have more than this one pool in town, and then it won't be so crowded, they'd be able to offer the entrances at a more reasonable price. I grew up going to a local community pool triple or quadruple the size of this one, it had diving boards and slides, you could get cooked food at the snack bar, etc. and we made the best memories. You could have Teen nights and Family nights etc. for those that get memberships, and charge the fees that you charge at daily rates now for entrances to non members to stuff like that. I mean I used to pay 15 cents to get into our community pool, and I'm under 50 currently. This town could definitely use more than this (1) outdoor pool for the summer at reasonable rates for recreation for our kids as well as our families! It's just not enough, and the indoor pool at the community center is NOT the same as an outdoor pool in the summer. I hope Woodbridge considers opening more at reasonable rates in the future! Lost Ring – Sentimental Value

On Wednesday, 7/9/25, I was at the pool from opening to closing. Sometime around 1:45 PM, my family heirloom ring slipped off and was lost in the water.

If you or your child happened to find a ring that was a gold band with 3 diamonds, please contact me as soon as possible. I understand that young children may not realize the sentimental value something like this can hold. I’m not concerned about how it was found, I just hope to get it back.

A cash reward will be offered to anyone who finds it or has any helpful information.

Unfortunately, I was told by the front desk that I am not allowed to post a flyer, so I’m sharing this here in hopes it reaches the right people. If you can help spread the word, I would deeply appreciate it.

Thank you to the lifeguards who searched the pool, checked the filters, and looked through the vacuum!

Please learn from my experience and just remove all valuable jewelry before taking a dip. I wore all my rings for years and never took it off for a second, but one still managed to slip off in the pool.

Used to love this pool but some of the members think they run the place. God forbid you take “their seating area” that they think is reserved to them. They leave their kids unsupervised a lot. None of the kids play together from other families. You don’t really feel welcomed if you’re not of a certain race. I have a video of a mother going irate on me in the bathroom after she racially profiled my daughter in front of everyone. Told me my family is trash because I told her 3 year old son to stop splashing my daughter while she was in the parking lot smoking. I even wrote emails about it to the township. No response. It’s sad because it’s an expensive membership to have for this pool for 2-3 months. But now with more of a diverse crowd I guess good ole’ Woodbridge residents aren’t used to it. Rahway pool is better. No membership and everyone is super friendly. The kids of all races can just play together and be kids...
