Halal Express — Restaurant in Woodbridge Township

Last week I placed an order for a tray of food here. Definitely called it in last minute and the staff was wonderful at accomodating my timing. I can speak very highly of their clear communication and ability to support me in figuring out my order. I have eaten here prior but never ordering a tray for several people. The trays were packed very well. When opening the tray they were beautifully presented. The veggies were all separated on one tray allowing everyone to be creative brluilding their platters. The rice and protein evenly spread out. Everyone was please by the presentation. The food was absolutely amazing, everyone was pleased! None else has had this type of food before, so this was their first time. I am not a local anymore but do visit the area often, however with bring the tray of food I definitely recruited some new local customers. This is a hidden gem and definitely a place worth ordering food from. Highly recommend for individual meals and definitely for ordering tray for events or a larger family meal. TASTE (7/10): I got the mixed dish with meat, fries, and greens. The taste was above average. But oddly enough, the gyro made with the same ingredients tasted way better. Go figure. Red velvet cake, hard pass. Not my thing.

PRICE (9/10): Bare-bones ingredients, but the price is unbelievably good.

SERVICE (8/10): Without a problem. No waiting too much.

ATTITUDE (9/10): Cheerful and welcoming. No complaints. Friendly crew. The kind you don’t mind chatting with while your food’s getting ready.

PLACE (7/10): Super easy to find. Central location. Convenient if you’re wandering around.

CLEANLINESS (7/10): Didn’t spot anything horrifying. Seemed clean enough.

ADDITIONAL FEES/HIDDEN COSTS (10/10): None. Just the food and the friendly vibes.

OVERALL IMPRESSION: Might go again, especially for that gyro. Not everything hits, but the price and people make it worth a second round.
