T Loren Studio — Local services in Woodridge

Called for an appt last minute got junior stylist when I asked for an experienced colorist. Worst hair color I have ever gotten didn’t know what a glaze was asked a senior stylist who told her to run touch up diluted w water completely through my hair. She even had to ask senior stylist what a glaze was! My color resulted in my touch up everywhere. I had barely any gray showing the color in touch up was at least an inch long where not needed. Asked for a repair they gave to me not clarifying correct time two text one w time of appt second text w blow dry time. Why would you need a second text to talk about a blow dry. Last text was the time I saw I showed for appt as it looked like the time I was scheduled when I looked at last text sent. Also was told had to go with the first person who messed hair up initially. Would you not want the senior person to correct the obvious problems touch up way to dark and not applied correctly. When arrived at 11 was spoken down to me at studio not willing to squeeze in or correct problem. A refund for this mess should be issued since I’ll need to fix. Will probably cost $200 or more. Salon was very condensing. A call could have been made asking where I was at 9:30 since I had talked to them twice saying I would be there at 11. Miscommunication was obvious.

So more than like a simple touch up at TLauren that was awful was a waste of $80 now probably $200 to Fix somewhere else. What a mess! Never again trying somewhere wo a verbal recommendation. Fb recommendation isn’t necessarily what you get. I was excited to try somewhere new.

Mistakes happen I understand stylist inexperienced needs more training. Having her do my hair again and then not calling when they didn’t see me at 9:30 ridiculous. Not squeezing me having someone else do my hair when there’s had already been a huge mistake on their part ridiculous.

I used TLoren for my wedding day hair and makeup, as well as my 8 bridesmaids and 2 moms and WOW did they do amazing!!! They were recommended by my photographer, and for good reason! From the start, the communication from Lauren was fast and easy and she gave so much detail about pricing, travel fees, trials, etc. Not to mention her and her team are extremely talented! I did my H&MU Trials with Tina (hair) and Lauren (makeup) on the day of my bridal shower and I received so many compliments! I ended up getting my makeup done by Lauren again for another event two months before my wedding and used it as a second trial. She killed it every time! I also used Simply Tan (inside TLoren's studio) for my spray tans leading up to the wedding and my wedding day tan, and it was perfect every time with Halie on Thursdays. My wedding day was easily the most beautiful I have ever felt. Lauren did my makeup exactly as I wanted and it was perfect! It lasted all day (outdoor ceremony in 85 degrees and sunny) and it looked amazing in pictures even though I felt like I was sweating through it. I ended up changing my mind on my hair from the trial and did something a little different just based on Pinterest pictures and Tina knew exactly what to do and made it look incredible! I wanted my updo a little lower so my veil could sit on top and she did the most beautiful job and it lasted all day as well, through allll the dancing. T Loren is absolutely the best for ALL services, from hair, nails to spray tans, they truly have do it all! Everyone is so welcoming and personable. There isn’t a service they don’t offer. I would highly recommend. Tina, has been coloring/cutting my hair for over 2 year now, and she is MY GO TO girl! She’s always delivering the look I’m going for and never disappoints. I have also seen her work on a lot of other hair styles, textures and lengths as well - she is incredibly talented! Tanya, is an amazing makeup artist & has made me feel beautiful for several different events. My makeup lasted and looked great all day/night. Jiana, has done several wash, blow dry and curling services for me. I have reached out to her day of and she is able to get me in. I love going to her when I have a special event or even just a girls night out. Especially when I’m feeling lazy and don’t want to do it myself. Jiana always delivers with an amazing scalp massage to relax me and then has me leaving feeling confident and ready to take on my day.
