I recently attended a pottery workshop at Farmhouse Pottery with my husband and our son. The workshop was an enriching and delightful experience. From the moment we stepped into the studio, we felt a warm, creative energy that made the entire process enjoyable and memorable.
Elie, our instructor, was exceptional. With a blend of expertise and a genuinely encouraging approach, Elie made the workshop both educational and fun. Her explanations were clear and accessible, particularly for those of us using the wheel for the first time. Elie’s patience and willingness to offer individual guidance ensured that everyone could grasp the techniques and build their skills confidently. Elie’s demonstrations were thorough and easy to follow, and she provided hands-on assistance as we each took our turn on the wheel. The sessions included both practice and creative exploration, allowing us to experiment with different forms and techniques. Using the wheel for the first time was both challenging and exhilarating, and the pieces we created exceeded our expectations. The workshop not only taught us new skills but also gave us a profound sense of accomplishment. I highly recommend this workshop to anyone looking to dive into the world of pottery and discover the joy of creating something...
Read moreI bought some cups from this place. One of them had some issues that were obviously from craftsmanship. Look in the room where they make these items and watch the kids in there. They don't care. Anyway, I reached out to address the issue and was told it was "knocked," and they won't replace it. It was not "knocked," the glaze shrunk, and the clay was improperly prepared. So basically, you are buying trash. Offering 50% off of your next purchase helps 0. This is not the type of local you want to support. Take your business elsewhere. There are far more deserving potters instead of trust funds. Trust me. You get two stars because the identical cup that gets treated the same way as the one that was "knocked" is not suffering any defects from your poor craftsmanship. Good customer service, bad product. I feel bad for the employees selling...
Read moreI absolutely love my new pair of Marbled Stone mugs! I enjoy having tea in the morning and I usually fill the cup very close to the top. Because of the gradual taper of the cup and it's well-formed lip, the tea does not slosh out when I carry it to my seat from the kitchen like it does with the other cups I have purchased online. And besides the understated natural beauty of the mugs, I have noticed that these mugs keep my tea hot much longer than those that are mass-produced from other retailers. The last sip after I finish breakfast is still warm enough to enjoy without reheating, where tea in my mass produced mugs cools very quickly requiring several reheats in the course of one meal. I highly recommend these handmade custom mugs to anyone who enjoys a good cup in...
