What a disappointment. The entertainment was nice and there were beautiful Greek items to purchase. However the food service was the worst. I ordered a Greek bowl which was to have gyro meet, salad, rice, hummus and pita. I asked to have it without salad and was told that wasn't possible. HUH?? Then they said they could do it so I paid and waited. What I received was a whole lot of rice and some store bought gyro meat....no hummus and no pita. There was not even an attempt to make the meat look fresh or authentic. It was a neat stack of 10 or so identically shaped pieces which were placed on the rice. When I asked about the hummus they told me that someone forgot to thaw it out so there wasn't any right now. Seriously?! Anyway...

Never have I been to a cultural festival that made me feel like a tourist in my own backyard. From providing transportation to and from off-site parking to enlisting church parishioners to give guided tours of the Sanctuary; Marietta Greek Festival did not disappoint. Food vendors provided well organized tents and seating areas (cover and uncovered) for patrons. Cultural programs performed many traditional folk dances within the church's amphitheater. There were activities catering to young children on the premises. They provided a separate section for souvenir/accessory/ hand crafted vendors to display and sell their work. The food and drink options were plentiful including desserts. Free parking and paid admission for entry. Totally a...

No parking for true wheelchair users. I was told by an officer that was directing traffic that only people who had little rascal wheelchair s could park at the Greek church. I was directed to go to another church and take the shuttle bus. I was told by the the shuttle driver that I needed to go back to where the festival was. I came to another traffic officer and he told us to park at a middle school. I could not get on the sidewalk. Therefore, I was on the road with cars having to go around me with on coming cars. Then the same thing when going back to my car. NO one seemed to care. I even talked to two men under a tent that didn't seem to care. I truly enjoyed the festival and the food but not the church people that was in charge of...

Fabulous event. I've attended several Greek festivals, including the Tarpon Springs festival, and this festival can rival them all. The setting is at the beautiful, statueous Greek Orthodox Church of Marietta. The church is open for tours and the guides do a wonderful job educating visitors about their religion and religious paintings. Additionally, the food is wonderful, and most is prepared by church members. There is also continuous authentic Greek entertainment taking place at the outdoor amphitheater.
