Absolutely Unprofessional and Disrespectful Experience
I visited this location on September 23, 2025, around 3 PM, and what should have been a simple stop turned into one of the most unprofessional customer service experiences I’ve ever had.
While placing my order in the drive-thru, the tall, thin blonde kid taking my order left his microphone on for everyone in line to hear. Not only did he reference my daughter and our order—which was simply an açaí bowl and a protein shake—but he mocked us, saying, “Of course he ordered the slowest thing on the menu.” As if that wasn’t bad enough, he then added, “And he’s looking in the window all awkward,” before finally realizing his mic was still on. Even then, he offered no apology whatsoever—just carried on like nothing happened.
That level of disrespect—mocking paying customers out loud—is absolutely unacceptable. I parked and went inside to bring this to the attention of the so-called “supervisor.” Unfortunately, she seemed uninterested, dismissive, and completely unbothered by the issue. If this is the leadership standard at this establishment, it explains the behavior of the staff perfectly: zero accountability and zero professionalism.
It’s sad, because we have been frequent visitors here, but after this experience, we will not be returning. Management clearly doesn’t care, and the staff thinks it’s fine to openly ridicule customers.
The only redeeming part of this visit was a shorter employee (unfortunately I didn’t catch his name) who was polite and friendly—proving that at least someone here understands basic customer service.
To the owners and management: if you want to retain loyal customers, I suggest you start with training your employees on respect and professionalism—and perhaps reevaluate the “supervisors” who think brushing off legitimate complaints is an...
Read moreA year or two ago I gave this location 4 stars, had to lower it after my last experience. Went there on a Saturday night (8/4/21), got into the drive thru and placed my order at about 8pm, there was a car pulled up near but not at the window (too far to reach to pass things back and forth). With my window open I could hear they were just chatting with the employees and having a conversation... Not super professional. They pulled away without anything being handed to them that I saw after about 10 min and I was finally able to pull up and pay. You'd think that my smoothie would be ready by then. Nope. Had to wait another 5 minutes. I could see through the window there were five people inside behind the counter, two guys wearing smoothie King shirts, one guy not wearing a smoothie King shirt but wearing a headset, and two girls standing in the corner on their phones and chatting with the two guys wearing the smoothie King shirts... Not sure if they were all employees or not, but if they were, that means it took five people 15 minutes to make a single smoothie... I know its not an instant process, but 15minutes for basic smoothing with no modifications and with no other customers at the drive thru or inside seems excessive! I definitely won't be going back to this location again.
UPDATE: 3/27; I tried again.. I shouldn't have. One car in the drive through that had already ordered (and was only handed one smoothie) when I pulled up. It took 24 minutes from me getting into line until I got my smoothie. So ONLY go here if you have 10-15min per car I the drive through line.. watched two cars behind me drive off before placing orders due to the...
Read moreThe man who was running the drive through and making the smoothies was nice at first but he overcharged me and then lied about it. I went on a Monday, when they were doing there $5 32oz deal. I tell him what I want and pull forward. A few minutes later he comes back and tells. Me the price which is $6.97. I tell him that today is Monday and I thought they have the $5 deal. He apologizes and goes back to change it. He comes back a minute later and tells me he can't change it to the deal for whatever reason but he would manually change the price to $5. I tell him that's fine and he takes my card. A minute later he comes back with my card and no receipt. I think that's weird but he said he would change it, so I left. I check my online bank account a little while later and see that I was actually charged $6.97 instead of the $5. I honestly don't care about the extra ~$2 but he just lied to me about changing the price and didn't give me a receipt. I don't live around this location either so there is nothing I can do. It's just really bad business practice to lie to customers (even for only a few dollars) and I wanted to say something about it. Also, this is a rather long review that I doubt anyone will read or care about, but I sort of hope there is some sort of repurcussion for this guy, even if his manager just asks him not to do that to customers and always give a receipt unless they tell you they...
