If your goal is to fill your mouth with pizza RIGHT NOW, like IMMEDIATELY or you're going to starve, then Mellow Mushroom is not the right choice. In fact, even if you're not on the verge of starvation, order online and expect the pies to be ready for the "Order ready at..." time that's arbitrarily added to your "Order received" email, there's a good chance you'll be disappointed when you arrive to pick it up. There are plenty of other options for your instant mediocre pizza - and they are all more affordable.

However, if you want the best damn pizza in this area - and you have a little time to spare - Mellow Mushroom is exactly what you're looking for. We've been visiting the Shallowford location for 15-years and have never been disappointed with the food quality or service. Outstanding - literally every time.

We've tried every pizza they offer, with Kosmic Karma, Funky Q Chicken and the trusty House Special most often holding the Top 3 spots of our favorites.

On the very rare occasion when any part of our experience was less than superb, the manager has stepped in to make everything right.

Just do it. Takeout or dine-in. Either choice will be great. Buffer in a little extra time and don't be a Karen if your pies take a little longer than expected. Be MELLOW. It will be...

While people who know Mellow Mushroom love Mellow Mushroom, and yes it is a chain, they are not all the same! We have been to most locations near us (from Sandy Springs to Town Lake) and this location (Shallowford & Trickum) beats them all. I have tried my favorite pizza, the Holy Shitake at several locations but it is best at this location. Unfortunately, my other most favorite item -the muffaletta cheese bread has been taken off the menu. But, on our last visit, it wasn't busy so our super friendly server -Laura, asked her husband Adam(?) a chef in the kitchen, if he could make it for us, and since it was early on a Thursday evening & they weren't busy yet, he was happy to oblige!

Their Pizzas are not your typical pizzas. I never thought I would EVER choose a whole wheat pizza crust, but Mellow Mushroom has made it my 1st choice now for pizza crust. And do yourself a favor and try the pizzas just as they are shown on the menu. The ingredients used in the specialty and "Locals Only" selections work great exactly as shown.

My partner and I ordered a delivery for two pizzas. Whether it was the driver for DoorDash who picked up the wrong order or Mellow for giving him the wrong box, one of the two pizzas tonight was not the one I ordered.

After talking to the driver, he didn’t have any answer except that I had to take it up with Mellow; even after the driver contacted DoorDash. I showed the driver my order and the pizza (to show him they were in fact different). I was also on the phone with someone from Mellow while talking to the driver.

Thankfully the person who I talked to and the manager were very sympathetic to my situation and said they could refund the partial order, give store credit or make us a new pizza for pickup. Since I am sick I wasn’t excited about pickup, but they said they could take it out as curbside so I didn’t have to go inside; and I can be in the car with a mask with minimal contact.

Thank you so much for this correction to an annoying situation. We will absolutely continue to order from y’all...
