I was left in limbo with what to do with my washer as it had locked up on me leaving me to do laundry at the local laundromat until I could get someone out to check the unit. Unfortunately, they were not able to get parts for 6-8 weeks, maybe, and having a new unit delivered was not available until after the 4th of July. Yikes!
I then decided to go back to Harry Miller for a new washer and dryer based on my previous shopping experience with them.
I was greeted by Sharon and she informed me of the Speed Queens. I was impressed with the made in America as well as the parts and labor warranty. That spoke volumes over what I just experienced with my Maytag Bravos XL, which were only 6 years old! I was concerned as I was currently looking at potentially a week or two on delivery. That was not the case. The items were in stock and ready to be delivered by Wednesday, keep in mind this was Friday when I went to the store and they were able to deliver them the following Wednesday. Thank goodness!
The store had called me with a window of when I should expect the delivery the day before my delivery on Wednesday. The team of 3 showed up, hauling my old units away and set up the new ones with instructions on utilization. They were so polite and very professional. After the team had left, I decided to do a load of laundry that was previously done with my Maytag Bravos XL. I had to lift the lid to check the water as it was washing my clothes. The water was slightly cloudy telling me that my Maytag Bravos XL was not cleaning my clothes! Unbelievable!
I have noticed a decline in customer service since the Covid pandemic, but not with Harry Miller!

   Read moreI went in a couple of weeks ago to look for a Speed Queen washer and dryer. I did a lot of research on them and looked at many reviews . I spoke with Frank the sales man. He was attentive and never brushed off my interest. I kew what I wanted and he delivered. Never opted to show me another model just to try and make a sale. Unfortunately the dryer was on back on order due to Covid but I was understanding of that. So far my current dryer would do.
The delivery date was pretty quick. The delivery guys were very professional, friendly and knowledgable. Once the washer was hooked up they showed me how it worked and also ran itâs first run(without any clothes) to make sure no issues(There were none!).
In addition, about a week later I received a call from the sales man advising that he had on âclose outâ for a Speed Queen dryer. The one I had my eye on(back ordered) was basic and a little pricey(but it still wasnât and issue for me). The dryer the sales man called about did have more options for drying and lower in price. As a single mom I could not pass that up. sign me up. I went to look at it and was to my standards. Delivery will be soon and canât wait.
